Hamish is on the road again. He's gone state side for the American Association of Biological Anthropologists in Los Angeles. He's been checking out a few of the sites and been on the 2nd shortest tram in the world and made to feel small at the Broad museum.
Sad day today as our 4th year forensic anth students had their last lab before they graduate. They did at least get to have some fun with a mini DVI scenario.
One of our graduates has co-organised a webinar series. BeFRAIL aims to introduce and contextualise research related to the study of epidemics and diseases through the assessment of human remains and their contexts. Some amazing speakers will be presenting over the next few months. Do check it out.

Hamish has been meeting up with some of our amazing graduates at AAFS.
Ella Butler is a deputy coroner in South Carolina, Brittany Wexler is an autopsy tech in Memphis and Katie Sieber is doing behavioural criminalistics with Ontario police.
Then he went to see one of our more recent graduates Hannah Messersmith present.
Hamish is on his travels again. This time he's on route to Denver (in the care of Dr Catriona Davies). He's got his morning coffee and is about to board. Watch this space for his travel updates as he heads off to the American Academy of Forensic Sciences.
Hamish has got his passport out again. As if Australia wasn’t enough travel for our CAHID mascot, he will be accompanying Dr Catriona Davies to the American Academy of Forensic Sciences (AAFS) 76th annual conference in Denver, Colorado from the 20th to 25th February. If any potential applicants or current applicants are in the area and would like to meet up to ask/answer any questions you have about our courses, or just Hamish’s travel plans…(he’s off to California next month!) then please let us know! If any alumni are in the area, give us a shout too as it would be great to catch up with you all and see how you are getting on in your post-Dundee careers!
Hamish was back on the road this weekend. He took a trip with Dr Langstaff and some students down to the British Association for Forensic Anthropology - BAFA conference in Wrexham (Wales). Well done to our UG students Maja Beck and Margarethe Becker who both did presentations and Donald Irvine Roca and Yvonne Fryiou who presented posters on their dissertation research. He's back at work now but a little tired after battling the trains strikes and bad weather to get back, but he's got his tea and is helping to mark exams.

Hamish is a bit disheveled after 3 planes and being awake for 38 hours but he's finally back in Scotland.
Hamish is ready to leave Aus. Checked in, refreshed and ready to board. Catch you in just over 28hours.
Hamish's last day at the conference today. He started the morning by meeting a friend, then checked out the exhibition space and got involved with some of the vendors. Then he had a browse of the digital posters and on the way out got in the mood for Christmas. To celebrate the last full day he took a little boat trip across the harbour. Keep following for the last day and travel home tomorrow.
