Proudest moment of my coaching career yet 🫶🥲
Seeing this one grace the stage and be the first competitor I put on stage, how she handled herself for a first timer was brilliant 🙌
No prep is ever easy, especially your first, until you do it yourself you never realise how much of a mental battle it is , as you go deeper the hard days tend to outweigh the easy ones and your why alongside your character is certainly tested
From watching Cait on the journey she has had from taking over her prep from already being 18 weeks in , and further extending it by 9 weeks, after coming to me confused and ‘lost’ , from someone who was sick of the gym , and couldn’t wait to see the back of it
to someone who’s smile was the biggest on stage is why I started and wanted to get into coaching and share the love of this amazing sport, being apart of her journey was a privilege (defo didn’t cry when she came out on stage🫠)
this is more than just a physical transformation or achievement , it’s about showing up and finishing the job even when you and the nae sayers/ doubters get in your head

When looking to gain muscle and undertake a gaining phase it can be intimidating for the first time as society is fixated on seeing the number on the scales decrease so having to deal with the opposite can sometimes be a bit of a head f**k for people and takes a lot of trust in the process and your coach to ensure things are moving in the right direction 📈
Tommy here is 6lbs up from when we started together and all in all feels and looks like a new man ready for war 🔥💯
This was possible through Tommy weight training 2-3 times a week , once with myself for the last 5 months alongside being an endurance bike and running athlete doing 60+ miles 1-2x a week 😅🤯

So, something very out of character happened today 💁♂️
Today I got invited into Fife College for an opportunity to speak to a class about what Bodybuilding is and how it is a Subculture within society
I spoke about what the lifestyle entails, stigmatises within the sport and lifestyle and my values as a bodybuilder and how it’s impacted my life/relationships/etc
Well , me doing this is a prime example of that as lil 14 year old Jake was the guy hiding at the back of the class getting heart palpations calling my name on the register never mind being a guest speaker to a college class 😅
Honoured at the opportunity to shed light on a sport that doesn’t get the recognition it deserves within the general public and share an insight to my passion

This is more than a sport or a hobby to me 💙🔥
It’s my life , and I wouldn’t be who I am today without it 🫶
10 years between these photos , (albeit only been bodybuilding training for 3) but I’ve been pursuing fitness since I was 14 year old walking about school with my pack of chicken and 36p baguette from the co-op getting looks from everyone while my pals were nailing chippies because all I wanted was to look like The Rock
I’ve dabbled in loads of sports growing up like golf, rugby , wrestling, boxing but only 2020 and when lockdown hit I finally found my passion of covering myself in fake tan and baby oil and eating out of Tupperware 😂 (most will never understand why I love what I do or am obsessed with it but the proof is in the photos)
Self progression , this lifestyle is about being the best version of yourself, Every. Single. Day , not being a sheep and doing what everyone else does just to ‘fit in’ (tried that, it’s s**t, and I was more depressed than ever) but doing what brings fulfilment and joy to your life
Some have said how tf do you do it , my response, because I love it , you find time for the things that make you happy in life , it just so happens training , cooking 2kg of potato and meal prepping for the day , blasting my heart out to metal while siking myself up for a PB and finding a flow with posing is my happiness
Find your why , embrace it and don’t let anyone else tell you what you should be doing, and most importantly keep going , this s**t takes time and consistency , you stick with it , you’ll be amazed at what’s possible 🤝
Like I said yesterday, time to get fckin massive , it’s big boy season so roll on the tatties 😜🫶🔥💯

Abductor/ Adductor always - staple warm up for legs - not just for the girls lads get on the nut crushers and give it hell 🥵🤝
Leg ext - ft my cute face
Hack - 190 working set feeling fabulous 🤌, went for 210 and about died , tbc😅
Smith squats - 150 feeling good , goals is 4 plates on this sucker in the coming months
435x18 on the leg press so this is gonna be exciting year to come 🫡🤌
Finished off with some calves and lying ham curl and cried a lil on the drive home as clutch control was fab 🙃

People underestimate what can be done in a short period of time
Raegans journey over these last 8 weeks is a clear example in showing what’s possible when you tick the boxes, follow the plan and relentlessly pursue a goal 🔥 (even with a KFC and birthday celebrations 🤪)
When Reagan came to me she was (in her own words) lazy with her training , just going through the motions but never really training to her potential , but like many just starting weight training she is stronger than she lets herself believe, after a few sessions she soon picked up on the level of intensity we should be training and what she’s truly capable of after flipping that switch of a mental barrier with weights & her numbers flew 🆙
Balancing nightshifts and personal commitments she soon learned how to adapt training and ticking the boxes of the plan into her schedule and the gym soon became apart of her lifestyle rather than seen as an inconvenience
It’s my job to take you to a level you never thought you could achieve , both in the gym and outside , this isn’t only a physical evolution in 8 weeks but a full mental switch has been flipped and can tell Raegan has the bite for heavy lifting and excited to see what she is capable of going into the new year 🤜🤛
The only limitations are the ones you set for yourself💯🔥, so get after it 💪

I’ve heard it all before and it seems to be the trend of December, you know it yourself if you really wanted it why haven’t you started already ?
Bit harsh but some people just need to hear it 🤷♂️
As a coach it’s my job to push people past their limits and achieve what they never thought possible (or another way of putting it) stop making people believe their own bull💩and take action on what’s really important to them
Waiting for January is as effective as waiting for the next Monday.. only difference is there’s only 1 January in the year so if you don’t start this one which janurary are you waiting for?
Blink and it’ll be 2024 and you’ll be exactly the same as you are now 👀
People underestimate what’s possible in a short space of time when you take your fitness seriously , look what the world has been through the last 2 years, if your health isn’t a priority now after that big C word wiped out so many and left people with new developed health complications , if health wasn’t wealth before damn right it is now
You set the standard of the life you want to live, and taking your health seriously doesn’t mean eating chicken and rice for Xmas dinner and not enjoying that chocolate orange your gran got you for your stocking coz Myfitnesspal says there’s too many calories in it 🤦♂️
It means taking action on something you’ve been putting off all year and establish a routine for yourself to kick start the new lifestyle your gonna evolve into
Nothing good every came from comfort zones , and Rome wasn’t built in January, stop making excuses and waiting for the situation to become worse before you take action 🤜🤛🔥
Start small, no need to go balls deep from the get go, tick the boxes✅, win the day 🥇, and don’t be apart of the January trend🤦♂️, its not as difficult as it seems
