Yesterday we celebrated by having a lovely party for everyone!

We enjoyed a Father's Day Party with live performer Rat Pack and Beyond🎤

We sang, clapped, tapped feet, and danced along to the music🧡

On Father’s Day, here at HC-One we are celebrating all the dads, grandads, stepdads, father figures, fathers at heart, fathers working in our care homes and dads we are thinking of - thanking them for their kindness and support.

Happy Father’s Day! 💙

We commemorated D-Day at Melbury Court, getting crafty by creating a large '80', by reusing leftover cardboard boxes to make an art installation, using images of the landings and the brave veterans to honour those who fought and those we lost.

Those involved spoke about what they remembered from that period of time.

We also enjoyed watching the D-Day service televised in the morning, and watched a D-Day documentary in the afternoon to remember those who fought.

Here are some of our nurses receiving their presents for International Nurses Day. We appreciate all of our nurses so much and handed out treat bags to our visiting/community nurses on the day.

We've been taking advantage of the good weather at Melbury Court, going for strolls in the garden for national walking month, playing dominoes outdoors and admiring the Sunflower growth! 🌻

We celebrated VE Day (early) in style with a party! Singer Christine Rosemond visited covering classics from the era. There was lots of singing, flag waving and a few happy tears!

Our favourite cockapoo, Lupin, came in for cuddles this week ❤️

We got involved in some energetic dancercise for International Dance Day this week! 💃

We love celebrating birthday's at Melbury Court, and today it was lovely Inga's ☺️🥳🎈

Our residents and Katie have been taking advantage of the sun (and braving the wind!) this week and got out onto the terrace to plant some basil, peppers and sunflower seeds for our sunflower growing competition 🌞🌻🌱🫑

Lots of Easter prep today. Making this delicious mini egg cookie tray bake (with lots of sampling of the mini eggs!) and Easter cards 🐣

We've had some extra helpers putting together our hampers for our Easter Raffle... £1 per strip! Tickets are available from Jackie in the Admin Office. Winners will be announced on Tuesday 9th April 🐣🐥

Over 100 Easter eggs secured today by the lovely Katie and her equally lovely helper Henry (who says he doesnt have a sweet tooth! 😉)
