You should also use it to become familiar with our college rules. It's not compulsory to read but is the best place to look if you have a question about college life that isn't answered on the sway!

Highly respected journalist and Van Mildert College alumnus George Alagiah has passed away. Alagiah was known for his successful journalism career that spanned over 20 years, covering many prominent events and conflicts. In 1994, he was named Amnesty International's Journalist of the Year for reporting on the civil war in Burundi, and in 2008 was appointed an OBE. Additionally, in 2007 he was awarded an honorary doctorate from Durham University in recognition of his work. He was considered one of the best journalists of his generation and our deepest condolences go out to his family and friends.
