"This isn't beef mince", seasoned with garlic, fresh chilli's, and mushroom ketchup.
Sautéed bell pepper and red onions, with lashings of mature cheddar and blue cheese sauce.
We can confidently say that you'll need a siesta after tackling this!!!🤣.

Nothing as satisfying as snapping in half "defuzzing" and throwing in as the base of every good soup! ....still hairy little fuzzy creepy little devil's vegetables though!🤣

From small acorns grow saplings... haven't quite hit the dizzying heights of Oaks yet... but getting there!!😁.

Couldn't have done it without the love and support of my crazy bestie....and our even crazier customers! 5. Yellow split pea & root vegetable

We do get asked quite regularly what our cafe name means...so for those that don't already know, here it is.
We knew we wanted a veggie name (but nothing glaringly obvious like the pumpkin, or the sweet potato), and something that identifies us as a Scottish business, so the thinking cap went on......
And also 'Brussel Sprout' was unpronouncable!! 🤣🤣

So here's a question for all our lovely customers...for anyone who knows us (or doesn't yet😁) we are a soup and sandwich cafe (small place, small facilities but big heart). We are about to increase our regular sandwich/bagel/wrap menu from 6, to 16 varieties ...with four new club sandwiches on top. We have 14 out of 16 and just need some suggestions for the last two. I won't say what we already have, as really keen to hear some fresh suggestions from fresh eyes....make it as healthy, filthy or fabulous as you'd like...only prerequisite..no tofu/seitan etc, we're sorted there. Best suggestion goes on menu and you have 10 free sandwiches to munch at your leisure ❤️x

Well the Gremlins have been busy! We went fully vegan six weeks ago, and are currently expanding our menu from six delish signature sandwiches to sixteen!!! (Suck it Subway!!) All available as a sourdough ciabatta, burrito, bagel or doorstep toastie. Few other surprises on the way also.
In the meantime we still do 30 different soups weekly (4-5 available daily)....always home made, and hearty.
This is today's, and yesterday's selection... all gone now, and the soup monsters already busy for tomorrow. in the words of the late great Jim Bowen "Let's have a look at what you could've won"....

It's been a while...and our marketing team (me) is pants!!! Photo salad for your pleasure!? Must do better....however, we're here daily for all your homemade carb filled needs, will babysit your dogs while you nip to Poundland, and never shy away from a cuppa and a chat. We are offering tailor-made small and intimate evening classes where you will learn different floristry skills including hand tied bouquets, buttonholes and corsages, flower crowns and table centerpieces.
With over twenty years experience in the industry, our classes will be taught by Erin Parsons, former head tutor of Narcissus Flowers Edinburgh, and you will be able to take your creative masterpieces home at the end of the evening.
All classes can be catered to hen/birthday parties, corporate workshops and private engagements etc, up to a maximum of six people per class.
