This year marks 30 years of Fairtrade and to celebrate the local Fairtrade group will be holding a Coffee Morning at Queensferry Parish Church on Sat 21 September from 10am. Pop in for Fairtrade goods and info and lots of cake!!
What a great afternoon we've had at our Coorie In lunch - so good I forgot to take any photos!! Thanks to everyone who came along. As we get into the colder weather, please remember our cafes are open 5 days a week and everyone is welcome to keep warm, have some food and enjoy the company!!
Still space at our Coorie In Community lunch on Wednesday 11 September at Dalmeny Kirk Cafe. This is a completely free event with good food and company. We will also have Changeworks here giving expert energy advice. Worried about the changes to the Winter Fuel Allowance? Come along and get some advice along with a home-made lunch. After a lovely summer, it's business as usual from tomorrow at Dalmeny Kirk Cafe. We will be open from 10am serving hot rolls, scones and hot drinks. From 11.45 we will be serving lunch. Looking forward to seeing you there!

Was an absolute pleasure hosting these Young people for Cookery Club today. A special thanks to my helpers, Lennon and Emmit who did a phenomenal job of clearing up.

Another busy week ahead at Dalmeny Kirk Cafe, starting tomorrow at 10am with Messy Play, Still Life and Bacon Rolls!!! This is a free event open to all ages.
If you prefer things a bit quieter, our cafe is open as normal from 10am serving coffee, breakfast rolls and scones.
What a week it's been at Dalmeny Kirk café! Art and Craft sessions on Tuesday and Friday (jewellery making and rock painting) were busy and lots of fun. On Wednesday we held our first Cookery Club in partnership with the Edinburgh Council Youth Team which saw 21 young people make (and eat!) burgers and cheesecake sundaes.
Our normal cafe also ran on Tues, Thurs and Fri serving homebaking, breakfast rolls and light lunches.
A busy but brilliant week filled with laughter, fun and scones!!!!
We are celebrating International Rock Day tomorrow with free rock themed arts and crafts at Dalmeny Kirk Cafe 10am to 12 noon. Coffee and scones for the adults!! All ages welcome. Anyone looking for a quieter space, our normal cafe is also on from 10 to 12.

Dalmeny Kirk Cafe is now closed until Friday 5th July but why not head to Connections Cafe Queensferry at Queensferry Parish Church on Monday and Wednesday to enjoy a coffee in peace whilst the kids join in with free arts and crafts?! The fun starts at 10am - the scones will be ready and the coffee will be hot!!!
A huge well done to Lennon. Last night he was awarded the Ronald Ainsworth trophy from the Rotary Club of South Queensferry for his service to the community. We are so proud of him and the best words I can use are:
