One thing that is so easy to forget after completion of a construction project is the process of getting to the end result.
This week we want to show appreciation and reflection on the process. Starting with the Coltbridge project; opening up the rear spaces to improve circulation and create a bright and airy kitchen with open plan dining and sitting space providing connection to the garden.

This week we reflect on the importance of the structural design to achieve ‘simple’ architecture.
The projects that appear simple and clean tend to have the most complexity and our trinity project was no exception

This week’s theme of images has subconsciously become about bright and airy spaces with their connection to external landscapes (must be the change in weather, albeit currently looking out to rain!)
Therefore it only seemed fitting to include the completely open design between internal and external spaces of the Kent project

Utility rooms continued!
The Coltbridge project revised the location of the rear door to enable ease of access from the new utility room to the rear garden. There is storage behind the doors shown, keeping the layout clean and simple but effective.
Also the addition of the great invention that is the clothes pulley!

Kicking off the week with utility rooms!
Whilst always seen as a ‘back of house’ space, utility spaces are functionally vital in most projects which was the case here for the Cobden project.
It is therefore important that we utilise these spaces as much as possible to maximise the storage and use.
You can never have too many coat hooks!

A kitchen is integral to any home and it’s important for us to showcase the kitchen designers we have worked with on our recent design projects that have completed over the last few years - the first at our Fountainhall Road project with the kitchen by
We particularly enjoy the scale of this kitchen with the large island unit that becomes integrated with the dining seating area. The flush details also work well with the balance of traditional and contemporary design features with this project.

A key apsect of the Fountainhall road project was to connect the house to the impressive rear garden which was achieved with the addition of the new extension.
We also wanted to provide a clean transition from the existing house to the new extension which we formed using veneered timber panelling as a wrap around and ‘punch out’ between the existing and new spaces.
