Just checking in with a little Skinny Malink update.
I’m afraid, It’s time to say goodbye to this little venture –
But not before thanking everyone who has supported this small business over the years. 🥰

I’ll be using this page to post various lifestyle updates and more personal posts so please stick around if thats your cuppa or feel free to hit the unfollow button if it’s not.

It’s not all doom and gloom however, I’ve been pouring my heart into my new(ish) jewellery business .golden.finds where I get to share amazing vintage and antique jewellery - If that sounds like your kind of ‘sparkle,’ (see what I did there) come check it out and give the page a follow, it would be lovely to have you there. ✨

Finally, huge shoutout to every one of you who’ve made Skinny Malink so great, I genuinely couldn’t have ask for a more lovely load of couples and customers to work with. Thank you. ☺️

A little announcement ✨🥂

It’s a nervous and exciting time here at Skinny Malink. As mentioned a few posts ago, I’m leaving weddings behind and embarking on the Greetings Card industry.
It’s been a hefty learning curve!
I’m very fortunate to now be stocked in a selection of boutiques and galleries in England and mainland Europe. I’m also selling directly to customers - this was exactly what I was seeking out to achieve after leaving the wedding industry.

Never did I think I’d be seeing Skinny Malink cards being stocked by a mainstream retailer but I’m over the moon to report that after talking with one of the top supermarkets in the UK, I’ve been selected to trial 6 of my designs across their stores nationwide. It’s a big leap and one I’m tentatively embracing. It may lead to nothing more than a trial but I’m taking the opportunity and running with it.

I’ll be closing the online store for a month to get the orders produced but I will be back to normal trading by mid-May. Promise.

During the pandemic, like many folk, I thought I’d explore new projects while weddings were off limits.
For a while I got really into fragrances and perfumes. I also started French lessons (oui!) and towards the end of 2021, My true-crime podcast addiction was becoming an issue.

One thing I also dabbled in, was buying some preloved jewellery. I’d take the time to clean it, repair where needed, polish them and sell the pieces on to new owners.
I didn’t think much would come of it but it’s a little side job that I’m really loving and that seems to be picking up some customers too. so… I wanted to share.

I don’t pop many non-skinny malink post on here but would be very grateful if you could visit my sideline page.

Yikes! The last few months have been full on at Skinny Malink. So much so, all social media has been forgotten about. Cripes!

Juggling both wedding work and prepping for Skinny Malink’s debut at next month, the year has totally vanished.

We’ve been spinning multiple-stationery related plates but hopefully next month things will level off and calmness will resume. 🤞

Excitingly - Lots of new, shiny, swanky Greeting Card collections have been designed and can’t wait to be showcasing them at London’s PGLive trade show next month.

Weddings are also back with gusto. Hurrah!

We’ve been working hard on a dozen or so new greeting card designs of late so The Gram has taken a backseat.
This week we’ve focused on milestone birthday cards - initially covering 18th, 21st, 30th, 40th and 50ths.
Hoping to expand to further milestone ages but ya know, all in good time.
Pictured is our Holograph 50th card in pale blush. This design will be available on White and Mint Green card too. HipHipHooray!

Today has been full on foiling from the get-go!
The morning light was shining perfectly too, what a beauty of a day.

It's beginning to look a... Bit like Christmas. ✨
Sorry! It's early, we're not even past Halloween yet, I know.
But the last two weeks have been full on Christmas card production in the stuido.
We've produced, packing and posted out a record number of packs for October, which is wonderful.

I love Fine-line foiling but it's an absolute footer to produce. Making sure your foiling press is aligned perfectly is essential to achieving the best foil impression... It's time consuming, at best!

However, when you do it properly, the finished product is worth all the time and frustration! 🖤
