We’ll shortly submit planning for this new build house in Eskbank. Built into the sloping site it will look like a single storey property from the road but will have accommodation and garages on a lower ground floor.

Our clients fell in love with this existing property on the west coast but needed to add space. The large side extension provides the desired accommodation whilst respecting the original building’s character, albeit with a contemporary twist. Great to be working with and on this one.

We enjoyed the free rein that our client gave us to investigate materials, texture and colour during a feasibility study for this rear extension to their new property.

This renovation & reconfiguration of a listed garden flat was a special one for Staran as it belonged to one of our directors. An additional bedroom was created and original features uncovered and restored. Removal of internal walls linked the living, dining and kitchen areas with improved garden access. This dilapidated property became a light, spacious family home.

Our clients provided us with a very clear brief for this rear extension coupled with internal alterations. The form of the extension may be simple, but it has provided a large, light-filled kitchen & family space which has transformed this home. Again, the CGI helped our clients visualise the end result and make informed decisions.

This pair of new builds are settling in beautifully to their sloping site. The two houses open up to the views in both plan and section whilst maintaining privacy. Moving the living spaces upstairs makes the most of the incredible city views

Our developer client bought this lower ground property which had been split into 4 bedsits. Everything needed stripped back and re-done/ made safe. Internal partitions were removed and new doors created a connection between the kitchen & garden. The dingy spaces are now flooded with light.

This side and rear extension provided our clients with a great new family space and better connection to the garden, as well as much needed back-of-house, practical space. The CGIs helped the clients understand the spaces at an early stage in the design process. The exposed gable of the original building makes a fantastic feature.
