Filmhouse is Scotland's foremost independent cinema and home of the Edinburgh International Film Festival.
We are proud to be an accredited Real Living Wage employer! As well as being the home of Edinburgh International Film Festival (EIFF), Filmhouse has entertained and delighted audiences at their home at 88 Lothian Road since 1978. We host around 700 films and events every year, offer a diverse learning and education programme in addition to regularly screening films with hard-of-hearing subtitles and audio description.

On Monday 19th September, Filmhouse will be closed all day in line with the public holiday to mark the funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
