🧼 Bath Time 🛀
If you’re a fan of a nice relaxing bath, have you considered a round tub? They are a great way to add some curves to a usually very angular room and they retain heat better too. Naturally, when this bath was installed on our project - we just had to get in and take it for a spin (without the water and bubbles of course) needless to say, we’re all converted, comfortable and stylish? Sign us up.

In this neutral scheme, we placed the bed centre stage by cladding the wall behind in this beautiful textured wall treatment. This calming scheme benefits from deliciously varied textures and pops of jewel tones, keeping the eye entertained but not compromising on restful energy.

All the Pieces Matter
When building out a colour palette for a space, it’s important to consider every surface. Notice here how the verre eglomise mirror on the fantastic Tom Faulkner cocktail table ties in with the colours on the cushion. Look a little closer and you’ll see the warmth of the timber frame of the chair is also reflected in the cushion fabric. These little moments of visual harmony make the space feel oh-so-calming.

A Corner of Paradise 🌿🌸
Located in The Tempus, this room is clad in this vivacious Osborne & Little wallpaper, which provides an ideal base. Its extensive colour palette offers numerous options for selecting accent colours - what a great place to start!
Detailed touches such as the bobbin style legs on the desk and bedsides are reflected on the wardrobe doors.
Looking to inject some personality into your own home but don’t know where to start? Get in touch, we’d love to help.

🐯 Say it with Stripes 🦓
These interconnecting rooms at the Tempus are tied by our use of stripes colour and pattern - when dealing with bold designs the thread of a bold motif keeps the scheme unified.

We wouldn’t expect anything less at Charlton Hall!
There’s magic woven through the designs at Charlton Hall, so naturally we had to include some fantastic creatures in our latest phase of work at the estate. How fabulous does this Linwood velvet look on a buttoned Chaise?

Here’s a glimpse of upcoming designs that are currently in progress. The lounge will feature reeded detail bookcases with marble shelves framing the window. Turquoise and bursts of orange will serve as accent colours, complementing the blue upholstery. Don’t forget to swipe and explore the luxurious, layered sample collection - it’s incredibly tactile!
A Pattern Mixing Masterclass
On closer inspection, there are a lot of patterns in this room, curious how me made it work? The key is to make sure the patterns dont’t fight, Do you have a large print on your headboard? Keep your bed linens and cushions simple and place on a wall with a smaller scale pattern. Want the room to flow? use colour to join the elements together - in this room you’ll spot gold, pink and green subtly injected throughout the space.

The Lounge // The Tempus
Whether you are relaxing in here with a wee nightcap or waiting to head out for the day, there is lots to admire. A lot of work went into this room to create recessed tortoise shell panelling, hand painted on a gold leaf background, set into panels with diffused light glossing across. Hand applied trailing leaf eglomise mirror to break up the areas, combined with a reeded wooden bar front with a stunning marble top and brass kickers.
Custom bottle cabinets which can be locked should you wish to purchase a bottle for the duration of your stay flanks the stone fireplace, built with original stone from the farm buildings.

Has a wall ever looked so good?!
As we worked our way through drawing layouts and brainstorming how this busy restaurant service would work, we erected a stud wall to shield off the kitchen entrance and back of house, including very fancy toilets from a bustling restaurant. On one side we created a canopy and positioned benches, on the flip side we used it as a fabulous display case for the wine selection.
we have sampled a couple and can confirm the selection is as good as the display!

The Perks of a Neutral Palette.
In our art-lovers lounge, keeping walls, floors and larger pieces of furniture neutral means our clients can switch out their extensive collection of artwork whenever the mood takes them.
The abstract, deep pile rug was custom-made not just for comfort and softness underfoot, but also as a piece of art in its own right.

We chose neutral hues for this cosy snug, the perfect backdrop for our art aficionado client's collection of poppy, bright eclectica.
The bespoke cabinetry blends seamlessly with the walls, both painted in Storm Grey from Zoffany.📸 .and.zac
A Home for Art.
When we design a space, we put you and your priorities at the centre, so when pulling together schemes for our art-loving clients we knew that the art had to take centre stage. Here, neutral palettes continue into the kitchen, so the art remains the star of the show.
Fun fact: This marble countertop was too heavy to be carried up the stairs, so it had to be lifted using a crane, from street level to the third floor, while a Mercedes was parked beneath it. That was a nail-biting moment for sure!

Smart storage ✨
We designed this cabinetry to serve as room divider, headboard and wardrobe without interrupting the calming bedroom energy - and not a wire hanger in sight, bliss.

On Wednesday’s we wear pink… *a very very soft blush pink on the walls, combined with a beautiful natural greyed vellum dressing table, cream boucle stool and a sumptuous green sofa.
A gorgeous combination for a corner part of your bedroom, otherwise wasted.

* Absolute Bliss *
On the table this week: A cornucopia of luxurious, layered textures for an upcoming wellness retreat project. We wanted to evoke the pure bliss and tranquillity this space will deliver, so naturally, we've been looking carefully at finishes. Rejuvenation and renewal shouldn't just stop at the treatments, so tactile, lush finishes are the order of the day, we feel more zen just looking at this collection of samples.
Afraid of a large scale wallpaper for the fact you don't have huge ceilings? you shouldn't be.
The wallpaper design by Christopher Farr sings on this bedroom wall, providing a beautiful back drop for the stronger colours and patterns to layer whilst acting as subtle artwork in its own right.
We renovated the existing wardrobes by replacing the doors with painted frames and rattan insert.
Colours and patterns were at the forefront of this bedroom scheme; combining playful elements with relaxed luxury, perfect for a teenage girl.

Rich monochromatic tones in this dining area showcasing the beautiful textiles from Larsen surrounding an antique dining table.
The pendant by Porta Romana is the perfect addition to add a touch of playfulness to the space without encouraging your guests to throw peas at each other!

A Warm Welcome
Warm paint colours, rich wood finishes and soft light bring this traditional hallway to life. As summer comes to an end, we find ourselves craving these cosy moments - almost time to crack out the fluffy jumpers and hot chocolate.
Cool, Calm and Connected
With parts of the historic Yester House dating back to 1699 we knew we had to design with a sympathetic eye and stay connected to the heritage of this building.
We worked in collaboration with the team at The Bathroom Company and our client for the design of this space, to help us maintain the special character of this period home.
The subtle pull of colours from the adjoining bedroom helps keep this space feeling calm, cool and connected to the remainder of the house.

Beautifully traditional with a touch of rustic • the stud wall was erected to create a more enclosed shower as well as provide privacy for the WC area, hidden behind. Finished in this gorgeous green paint colour, how warm does this space feel. 💚

Single room renovations •
Working with a lovely long-standing returning client, we were finally allowed to get our hands on this living room (excited sigh). Tasked to working the existing curtains into the scheme which are a striking two-tone silk in deep purple and rich burgundy red, as well as keeping all the light oak wood, two comfy leather chairs and a twist lamp we set to work on breathing new life into this room.

Connecting spaces is so important yet can also feel some of the hardest areas' to approach… like where to start!?
In this hotel design we didn’t want them to feel like the forgotten areas but more the linking spaces; colours, textures and patterns. This is transferable into your homes by bringing similar colours through to connect the downstairs to upstairs.
Beautiful details such as these custom handles by Ged Kennet are the house jewellery you didn’t know you needed!
