⭐️🐴What to expect during a chiropractic appointment for your horse:🐴⭐️
🐴At the begining of the session, I will carefully palpate your horse’s joints and check their range of motion. Particular attention is given to each joint in the spine from the skull to the tail, rib cage and limbs. When a restricted joint is identified, it is corrected by an adjustment, which is a very specific and gentle thrust into the joint. After the adjustment, the joint is palpated again to be certain that it is moving more freely.
🐴During the adjustment, there is a shift in balance from sympathetic dominance to parasympathetic dominance. This causes the animal to perform various types of stress releases. Licking and/or chewing is a parasympathetic response that simulates eating, which an animal will only do if it is relaxed. Yawning, passing gas, becoming sleepy, and stretching are also signs of relaxation. After the adjustment the animal will usually shake itself off, which is an animals way of doing a "neurological reset" and to get a feel for its new alignment.
🐴During the session, I will use a variety of techniques including manual adjustment, spinal manipulation, soft tissue work, stretching and massage (by hand or using a equi release massage gun).
🐴At the end, we will discuss proper warm-up and stretching exercises, saddle fitting, and other factors that contribute to the horse’s musculoskeletal health. Additionally, I may suggest follow-up exercises or therapies that can help maintain the effects of the chiropractic adjustments between sessions.
Thank you Traci 😊😊

🐎Does my horse need to see a chiropractor?🐎
If you recognise your horse in this list of symptoms, then YES, your horse would really benefit from chiropractic care:
▪️Poor performance
▪️Stiffness
▪️Back, neck, or tail pain
▪️Abnormal Posture/ Changes in posture or topline
▪️Discomfort when saddled (girthy)
▪️Difficulty bending to one side
▪️Reluctance to pick up a lead, inability to maintain a lead, cross-cantering
▪️Traveling with a "hollow topline" (head/neck elevated & back hollow)
▪️Hesitating to do things they normally do: picking up feet, stepping down out of a trailer, turning in either direction, refusing jumps
▪️Difficulty engaging the hind quarters
▪️Head tilt, difficulty chewing
▪️Uneven muscle development
▪️Uneven pelvis or hips
▪️Difficulty flexing at the poll, pulling on one rein
▪️Difficulty getting up & down
▪️Muscle atrophy
▪️Changes in behavior or attitude
⭐️Why should the rider and the horse see a chiropractor?⭐️
⭐️ The rider has a strong influence on the balance and the coordination of the horse
⭐️ A slight shift in the position of the rider's weight means the horse needs to rebalance slightly
⭐️ If the horse is required to constantly shift its balance to compensate for the rider, it will be more difficult to move efficiently and with freedom
⭐️ Tension in the rider is directly transferred to the horse, tensing up in the same area
If you want to book an appointment horse+rider please give me a private message on this page or 07840208617
(Horse and rider must be seen the same day at the same place)

⭐️🐕Should my dog see a chiropractor?🐕⭐️
If your dog presents one of these symptoms, he would be a good candidate for chiropractic care:
⭐️A stiff or irregular gait
⭐️ Lameness
⭐️Sitting or standing in an abnormal position (the puppy side sit)
⭐️Shorter stride or abnormal gait
⭐️Trouble climbing stairs, getting in/out the car
⭐️Limping
⭐️ Hunched back
⭐️ Sensitivity to touch or yelping if you pick them up
⭐️ Change of behaviour
In general:
⭐️All senior dogs
⭐️Dogs who repeatedly pull on their leashes
⭐️dogs who do agility, field training, and working dogs can benefit from regular chiropractic care, as keeping their flexibility and mobility at its best can reduce the risk of injury
⭐️dogs who have undergone surgery and are working through rehabilitation may also benefit from chiropractic.
