We are beyond ecstatic to share that we have made it into the finals for the 2nd year running, for The Smiliest Server category in the Ely Hero Awards. What a privilege 💓

A big heart felt ‘thank you’ to all the beautiful people who took time to nominate us 🙏🏻🫶🏻
We had goosebumps listening to the nominations, recognising that the environment we hoped to create when we started is there & felt by so many 🥰

After last years awards ceremony we really hoped to return, to be in the energy of so many local heroes is really quite something.

Prosper is our life, on every level, including social. To make the final again was a celebration we were really looking forward to attending. Going out-out is quite the rare treat for us!

Imagine the rollercoaster of emotions we had when we realised our wedding was the same day! Alas - we will not be able to able to share a table with our category finalists or to be awestruck with the stories about local heroes. It’s so uplifting & inspiring to hear how others have contributed to our community & humanity. We will of course look forward to reading all about them afterwards.

If we are lucky enough to win our category, we may just pop down from Poets House to accept the award 👰🏼‍♀️🤵🏻💒
Whoever wins - know we will be thinking about you and cheering you from the other side of town.

Ely Writers Meeting | Ely Writers Come to our monthly meeting for writerly fun!

This group is for you if you are feeling the effects of hormonal changes & want to regain some control. 🎛️🧠

This is a pilot group, which will become monthly if successful. The plan is to share helpful information from health, wellbeing and holistic professionals and to create a positive community offering peer-peer support. 👭

As a solution focused group, moaning is not permitted. This pilot group will help all attendees understand why.

The next EastCambs Climate Action Network Earth Cafe will hold a sustainable food workshop, followed by discussion over tea and coffee.

Thursday 21 March at 6.30pm to 8pm, held at Prosper cafe, Fresh on Broad Street in Ely.

We have the lovely Elaine coming in tomorrow (Thursday) to read a story from one of her books and to help children make their own eel spinner to take home!

Parents will need to stay but you can sit and chill with a cuppa and cake, maybe read that book you’ve been wanting to for ages or grab a book from our well-being library. We also have a selection of ceramics, sun catchers and key rings you can paint using our paint pens.

One of the many reasons we chose as our coffee supplier is because we wanted to be assured that workers were being looked after from the very start of the coffee bean process 💓

We believe the happiness & well-being of all the workers from the farm to when the coffee arrives at your table, contributes to the beautiful experience of enjoying our incredible coffee.

Non-vegans have told us that they try to replicate the delicious smooth tastiness by getting oat milk in at home. We use btw, the taste varies between brands and this one is our fave!

If you really want to recreate our coffee, you can buy our beans from us too! Feel free to bring your own tub for us to fill up.
