Welcome to Marmalade & Jam, a modern, bright and light dog friendly, kid friendly café, opposite the side entrance to Ely Cathedral, in Ely, Cambridgeshire. Great sandwiches, chunky sausage rolls made fresh daily with top quality sausage meat, fresh salad, huge freshly baked homemade scones, cream teas, cakes and the ever popular cinnamon brioche rolls with cream cheese frosting await your visit. Our aim? To provide you with fresh, glorious food, presented beautifully, prepared carefully, tasting great every time.
We serve Cotinga coffee, which is a carefully chosen, single origin, triple certified Fairtrade 100% Arabica bean. Chocolatey and woody, smooth and round with body and soul - it makes a delicious brew. We have Taylor’s decaffeinated coffee available too. Our Fairtrade tea is Rainforest Alliance certified and our large teapots ensure you get more than one great cuppa.
Why mention all this? Well - we know we’re not the only ones who want to know that our food hasn’t cost the earth. It matters - so we buy from producers that do not intensively farm. Our packaging is environmentally friendly and compostable. We recycle and aim to reduce food waste every day. We’re super proud that every bit of décor, fixtures and fittings and crockery in the café is either reused, repurposed or recycled.
Jo Jobling is the owner, operator, baker and maker and chief smiler. David will sometimes be around in the background, helping or upgrading something or just generally being his usual lovely self. Adam can sometimes be seen helping on the shop floor when he isn't at sixth form - he is the dude with all that incredible hair.
