If you missed our recent posts, make sure to look back on our social media profiles to gain an insight into the work we have conducted with various communities in Cambridgeshire over the years.

As a charity we are immensely proud, when we take a step back, to view all the improvements that communities have benefitted from. In case you were unaware, we are currently in our Centenary year as a charity; it is important to recognise the work we have put in over the years to be where we stand now, but even more important to cast our gaze towards the next 100 years of service.

Our Centenary exhibition highlights, in decades, the above work we described. If you are interested in hiring the exhibition for your events, please contact us: https://hubs.ly/Q02zPBsp0.

Alternatively, you can find all of our Centenary-related events, news and history here: https://hubs.ly/Q02zPBHB0.

Keep up-to-date with us on our social media pages and share our posts with colleagues, friends and family.

Huntingdonshire District Council has recently opened a second round of grants for capital funding through the Rural England Prosperity Fund.

Businesses in the District's rural areas can secure 50% match funding for projects that will do things such as diversify a farm, boost rural tourism, or enhance visitor experiences. They will also accept applications from businesses aiming to purchase new machinery and equipment that will lead to new products, job creation and increased productivity.

You can find out more about the scheme in Huntingdonshire by visiting HDC's website: https://hubs.ly/Q02GnpX30

All at Cambridgeshire ACRE offer their heartfelt congratulations to David Stazicker on being awarded a British Empire Medal (BEM) by His Majesty The King as part of his birthday honours.

We know David through the amazing work he does in his home village of Mepal in East Cambridgeshire, as a trustee of the village hall and the lead volunteer at the Mepal Community Hub, which provides a safe and friendly place for local people who live in quite a rurally-isolated village to come together for friendship and support.

Since retiring in 1997, David has continued to use his legal and administrative background to benefit various organisations and community groups. Among them includes serving as the Honorary Secretary of Cambridgeshire Historic Churches between 2009 and 2021.

Congratulations, David – we are so pleased you’ve been recognised in this way.
