We've got some great facilities with the newly resurfaced astroturf pitch overlooked by a vibrant clubhouse. Our 3 mens teams and 3 ladies teams play in the Mr Cricket Mr Hockey East Hockey League and we offer something for
It rained - again π§π - but it didn't put off our Juniors for the last training sessions of the season and the parents and junior matches!
It's been a fantastic season and wonderful to see the juniors not only enjoy their hockey but grow in confidence and skill over the season. They have been a joy to coach!
A huge thank you to all the coaches and to all the parents who have helped with the running and organisation of the junior section this season - we genuinely couldn't have done it without you!
Have a great summer - hopefully with not too much rain! - and see you all back on pitch in September ππππ
And there were some awesome costumes at Saturday night's party!!

And a BIG, BIG thank you to all those who umpired - we're sorry we don't have photos of all of you but you know who you are and the tourni wouldn't have happened without you - thank you! Another BIG BIG thank you must also go to Vicky, Paula and Glen for manning the BBQ all weekend with the sun beating directly down on you and to all the EOSA bar staff.
It was definitely a weekend to remember!
We can't wait!!! ππππ»π₯πΊπ»π

"The Ladies 1s were at home to Pelicans 2 and started their game on fire". Results and league placings for Ely City Hockey Club who finished the season in style with four wins, one draw and one loss.
The Men's 2s had a great against Cambridge Uni 4s on Saturday, securing 2nd place in the East Mens 4 Division North West league , just one point behind the leaders, and securing promotion!
Nick Wells scored a hat trick from 2 shorts and a flick. Further goals were added by Cameron Ludlow and Charley Swan-Taylor in the second half.
Unfortunately they didn't get a team photo as the game started late and they needed to get off the pitch for a quick turnaround but this photo is of the evening's celebrations!
Well done lads!!
And some more fantastic photos from Owen Carford of the Mens 1s against Cambridge City 3s which Ely won 6-2!
The Mens 1s needed to win this game to avoid relegation and they did it in style with a hat trick from Matt Samouel, who also won Man of the Match, 2 goals from co-captain Reece Laffar and 1 from Daniel 'Bambi' Martell.
Some fantastic photos taken by Owen Carford of the Ladies 1s against Pelicans 2s yesterday which Ely won 7-3 finishing a solid 5th in the East Ladies Division 3 North West League!
Hat tricks were scored by Ellie John and Rhianne Jones and the 7th goal by Charlotte Nix. It was a fantastic game to round off the season. Player of the match went to Zara Gilbert for amazing assists and runs down the wing with sister Annabelle.
It was great to see two Ely City players, Alex and Keanne, in the Cambs County U17 Boys team this season!
In the County tournament held last month, the Cambs U17B came runners up to Herts. They won two, drew one and lost one:
Cambs 1 - 0 Essex
Cambs 1 - 1 Suffolk
Cambs 2 - 0 Beds
Cambs 0 - 1 Herts
It came down to the last game between Cambs and Herts as Cambs were on 7 points and Herts were on 9 points. The winner of that match won the tournament. It was an outstanding game that either team could have won.
Well done lads!
Well done everyone!! And thank you to everyone who donated π₯°

And an Ely City Hockey Club mum, player and wife ππ
From our U13βs head coach Chris Holmes.
βNext Saturday my rugby team are undertaking a 24hr bikeathon to raise money for two cancer charities. Last year one of players tragically lost him mum to the disease, something that no person should have to go through let alone a 13 year old. We are doing this in honour of his mum, but also to honour the bravery our player has shown over the last 7 months. If anyone would like to donate it would be greatly appreciatedβ.
