I am going to be very sad saying goodbye to the most fantastic group of eight 11-15 year olds. They have been absolutely amazing and I have so enjoyed getting to know them over the last year.
I look forward though to welcoming a new group to Roots in September!

We made solar ovens out of cardboard boxes, black card, foil and cling film to test out cooking (or melting!) food in the hot sun.
Our wildflower meadow has now been cut and baled. I love the view of large round baked hay in the countryside .

Pigs do not sweat to regulate their body temperature. We need to make sure they have what they need to cool down. Abacus, our KuneKune, has been in his wallow, come for a cool drink of fresh water and then goes to lie down in the shade. .
