Join us at the Trago Mills Co-op store on 23rd November to celebrate our local community fund causes for Teignbridge! Last round, we supported projects at (among others!) Friends of Stover Country Park, Kingsteignton Swimming Pool, The Strand Community Centre, Pavilions Teignmouth, Teignmouth Mutual Aid Community Larder, Assist Teignbridge, MAKE Southwest, Green Hill Arts 🎉🎉🎉

None of this would be possible without our members, so flash your Co-op card for free drinks and giveaways 💙 ~ Sarah

A community donation from our Teignmouth store was presented by store manager Zoe to Friends of Teignmouth Library today for children's books, along with stock for a Christmas raffle to raise more funds 📚

Also, keep your eyes peeled in our Kingskerswell and Teignmouth stores for handmade poppies raising money for the Royal British Legion 🙂

Next week, it's Halloween, half-term & Barnardo's week! Keep an eye out in our local stores, such as , for spooky decorations & tasty trick or treat bags or booksales & help us raise money for our charity partner 🎃 🍂 🧙‍♀️

Community mapping in beautiful yesterday! Fab to meet lovely people & discover Co-op supported the at the wonderful Moor Imagination Collective hub - what an asset the hub is. The town was buzzing with a film crew, too!

Can you think of a local community looking to set up or maintain a community fridge? There are two rounds of funding, open until 16 October:

⁠Community Fridge Setup Fund - Hubbub- We are supporting the set up of around 20 new Community Fridges. This fund is open to all, but we are looking to prioritise areas without Community Fridges in the locality. https://hubbub.org.uk/community-fridge-setup-grant

Community Fridge Investment Fund - Hubbub- This is for existing fridges to grow and mature their services, supporting access to food and wellbeing in their communities. It also recognises that Fridge host organisations have been impacted by rising costs, so up to 1/3 if funding can be used to support core costs (link in comments)

Community Fridge Setup Fund - Hubbub Exciting news! Hubbub are launching a new grant fund to kickstart 20 community fridges.

We've had a fabulous celebrating 30 years of Fairtrade out and about with our Fairtrade Devon friends and encouraging our Co-op members to choose a fairer future! We brought Co-op fairtrade tasters and our new chocolate for change to the Fairtrade fashion show with Fairtrade Exmouth, Chudleigh Fairtrade at Chudleigh Market and Tavistock, as well as attending the South West Fairtrade conference at Exeter Community Centre. Thank you for having us and for all the amazing work you do in your communities 🍫🍌💙
