🥳 Happy Birthday to us 🥳

9 year’s ago today we were fresh faced and excited for Dancing Badger to take the digital world by storm!

In that time we have built approximately 400 websites - that’s an average of 44 per year. We have grown our incredible team from two to six and survived a global pandemic.

It's no wonder there are a few more grey hairs when we look in the mirror!

Thank you to everyone who has supported us on our journey - we look forward to the next nine years 🍻

We're so lucky to work in this part of the world! We headed to Exmouth this afternoon for a client meeting to discuss business goals and marketing objectives for the coming year.

WE ARE CURRENTLY RECRUITING

We’re looking for a Junior WordPress Developer to join our Exeter city centre office.

We’re a small, friendly team who, as a company, strive to create a fun, flexible and supportive work environment.

The successful candidate will become a core part of a team, where you can shape how we work and how the company operates.

You’ll work on a number of projects, covering a wide range of client websites.

We’ll offer a competitive salary, profit bonus scheme, referral scheme and flexible working hours plus an additional day off for your birthday (if it falls on a work day!)

JOB DESCRIPTION

You will predominantly be building and supporting the frontend and backend development of WordPress and WooCommerce websites for new and existing clients.

You’ll be working as part of the team but will ultimately be able to see projects through from start to finish.

Your time will be split between ongoing projects and client support.

YOU SHOULD HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH:

- PHP, HTML, JavaScript and CSS
- Understanding of the principles of responsive design
- SQL
- Good working knowledge of WordPress, including plugin and theme development
- Experience with managing hosting, DNS and email account set up
- Organic Search Engine Optimisation best practice
- Google Analytics and Search Console

DESIRABLE SKILLS

- Google and Facebook paid advertising
- Adobe Photoshop (or similar)

- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to solve problems creatively and research existing solutions.
