So happy to be starting at Massage and Wellbeing today!
Message me to book in for Wednesday or Monday afternoons.
We have another new therapist, Michelle Hollox, starting tomorrow afternoon.
Here is a little bit about her specialist massages: Myofascial Release is a safe, gentle and effective hands-on treatment, which can help with chronic pain, injury and reduced mobility. In my experience, I have witnessed that this lighter, sustained and more informed touch allows the body to heal at a much deeper level, facilitating physical, emotional and psychological change often providing profound and long lasting results.
I love doing this work and seeing the change in people before and after treatment.
I am passionate about Myofascial Release and so excited to be working as a therapist in this area. I trained with the School of Bodywork in Exeter where I gained my qualifications in Swedish Therapeutic Massage and Integrated Myofascial Release.
If you would like to find out more or book one of these massages, feel free to get in touch or visit the booking link.

Our Story
My aim is to provide clients relief from pain & to empower them to return to a pain free & active life.
I offer individually tailored treatments working with Myofascial Release (MFR) &/or Swedish Massage techniques responding to the needs of the patient.
What is Myofascial Release?
MFR is quickly gaining recognition as a safe and very effective gentle, hands-on technique without use of oil, that can provide welcome relief for many people who have 'tried everything'. It involves applying gentle sustained pressure (for a minimum of 120 seconds or sometimes many minutes) into the Myofascial connective tissue to release restrictions, eliminate pain and restore mobility.
Fascia cannot be forced.
This essential โtime elementโ has to do with the viscous flow and the piezoelectric phenomenon: a low load (gentle pressure) applied slowly will allow a viscoelastic medium (fascia) to elongate.
What is Fascia?
Fascia is actually one continuous structure that exists from head to toe without interruption, an uninterrupted network of the Connective tissue of the body. Itโs very densely woven, covering and interpenetrating every muscle, bone, nerve, artery and vein, as well as, all of our internal organs including the heart, lungs, brain and spinal cord.
In this way you can begin to see that each part of the entire body is connected to every other part by the fascia like a 3D web.
Fascia is composed of Elastin, Collagen & Ground Substance which together form a fluid 3D matrix with elastic and tensile strength that in a healthy condition glides and moves without restriction.
Many people suffering with pain, chronic injury and/or lack of motion may be having fascial problems, but are not diagnosed.
How does MFR work?
MFR works by treating the body as one complete interconnected whole, working on one point of the fascia system has an effect on the whole. Just as adding a restriction affects the whole, releasing restrictions & pain in one area can release in another area.
