The Lord Mayor would like to wish Happy Diwali to everyone who celebrates this important festival across Exeter, the UK and the world.

In his role as Lord Mayor of Exeter he decided to represent all faiths, beliefs and religions, including those who have none. That is why he chose to have the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust Chapliancy Team as his chaplains for his Mayoral Year.

At the last Full Council our Hindu Chaplain Ravi presented him with a copy of the Bhagwat Gita which is now displayed within the Lord Mayor's Parlour.

Happy Diwali

Great way to test your knowledge in the comfort of your own home. All in aid of a worthy cause - all proceeds will go to the Lord Mayor's charity - FORCE Cancer Charity

There’s great news for quiz fans with four online, interactive, charity quizzes lined up for those dark winter evenings.

The quizzes take place during November and December, and cost just a £2.50 donation to enter, with all money raised going to FORCE Cancer Charity, the Lord Mayor of Exeter’s chosen charity.

The quizzes will be interactive, so those playing must have a smartphone, tablet or laptop that is connected to the internet to take part.
