โI think in some ways [AuDHD] can be a very beautiful thing. You just need the right support to be able to access those parts of you.โ
Just over a decade ago, autism and ADHD were thought to be mutually exclusive.
That has changed in recent years.
Research indicates that autism and ADHD can frequently co-occur in the same person.
Many people with one of the two diagnoses show elevated traits of both ADHD and autism.
If someone is autistic and has ADHD, known as AuDHD, they may experience an internal struggle between their competing autistic and ADHD traits and a heightened experience of shared traits.
Discover insights, stories and perspectives from the AuDHD community in this article.
The sudden rise of AuDHD: what is behind the rocketing rates of this life-changing diagnosis? Just over a decade ago, autism and ADHD were thought to be mutually exclusive. But in recent years, all that has changed
76% of autistic people struggle to manage overwhelm and emotions, according to a recent Brain in Hand survey.
Anxiety is something that autistic people experience because of how the environment around them impacts their lives.
It is not something to fix, but something that can be managed with coaching and digital tools, enabling people to develop skills and in-the-moment solutions to navigate stressful situations and environments.
๐ Swipe to discover inspiring stories from our community about how they manage anxiety and take control of their lives.
Itโs Neurodiversity Celebration Week.

Letโs create a fairer, more accessible world for neurodivergent people.
One that goes beyond only making accommodations.
A world that genuinely includes, values, supports and empowers neurodivergent people.ย
Letโs shatter stigmas, challenge stereotypes and change the narrative.
This week, and every week.ย
172,022 people are waiting for an autism assessment in England.
NHS England data published yesterday has revealed:
โโโ The autism assessment waitlist in England has increased by 48% from the previous year.โ
โโโ โ86% of the waitlist had referrals open for over the NICE recommended 13-week period.
This is simply unacceptable.
The extended wait times for autism assessments place a heavy burden on those seeking answers, leaving them feeling demoralised and vulnerable.
In certain cases, these delays can have life-threatening consequences.
The waiting time for tackling this crisis has reached its limit.
