A huge Thank you to everyone who has supported Dunelm Exeter | Community Support Christmas tag appeal. Today we went and collected this incredible donation! So many bags have been donated with such wonderful gifts. These really are going to help us fulfil the requests for children, coming in via our referral partners.
We hear this isn’t even all of them, there are more bags to come! Such an amazing community response!
If you would still like to support our appeal with a bag, here is the link to donate directly to the Baby Bank https://forms.gle/41atifjNut5vvzLz7
We have loads of lovely Mam bottles but unfortunately no new teats,
So if you happen to have any at the back of the cupboard that you no longer need please consider donating to us.
We are closed next week for half term but open again from the 4th November for drop off.
We will also add some to our Amazon Wishlist
Here are the stats for August which was a busy month for us with the Summer School Holidays.
These statistics are proving popular amongst our volunteers, and it’s lovely to see the numbers month on month.
We are closed for the week of Half-Term (28th Oct - 1st Nov)
Our volunteers are having a well deserved break. We’ll all be raring to get stuck into the Christmas Appeal on our return on Monday 4th November.
Have a great Half-Term whatever your plans!
There will be no usual Wish List on Monday, but we will be posting the link for our Christmas Appeal.
This is a shout Out to our Referral Partners!
We are now taking orders for our Christmas Appeal.
Please get in touch via the usual routes to place orders for families in need.
Although we put out a wish list every week looking for pre-loved items, we also have an Amazon Wish List which is currently full of items needed for our Christmas Appeal.
The list of gifts are for age ranges from Newborn to Older Children. These will go into our Christmas Bags for families within our local community who may not get any presents otherwise.
These are delivered directly to the Baby Bank so is a great option if you want to donate but aren’t able to drop items off.
The support we receive year on year is amazing, and we’re hoping to beat last years number of around 500 this year with your amazing support!

A HUGE Thank You to those who joined us in the Hub yesterday for our Open Morning.
It was lovely to network with our Referral Partners and Local Organisations about the services we offer here at the Baby Bank.
Sharing our impact and to also hear about the work happening throughout Devon to support young families.
So many inspirational people with the same agenda… to make sure children in Devon can thrive!
It’s not until people come into our Hub that they realise the scale of the Baby Bank, and more sadly the need that is out there.
It might be raining outside but we have Coffee and Cake a plenty!
It’s our Open Morning at the unit, feel free to pop by and find out more about our services.
The incredible support of The National Lottery Community Fund helps us to continue to support local families facing financial hardship throughout Devon. Thank you TNL for helping us to keep doing what we do!
📣 Exciting funding news! Thanks to players, we've awarded over £144 million in vital funding to almost 2,500 community groups in England in the last quarter!

Following on from Exeter Foodbank post last week highlighting that in 2023 the National Literacy Trust ( National Literacy Trust) shared that nearly 1 in 5 children aged 5 - 8 years old said that they didn’t own a book of their own, we wanted to share that every order we send out is sent with an age appropriate story book and a cuddly friend.
It’s sad statistics like this that highlights the need for supporting families within our communities. Every single donation that we receive whether it be pre-loved items, monetary donations or purchases from our wish lists all help to give families and more importantly, children what they need.
🎅🏻🎅🏻🤶🏻🤶🏻🛍🛍
There’s lots of ways you can help us this Christmas bring joy to a child who otherwise may not receive anything for Christmas, our aim is to try and make sure no child is without a small Christmas bag to open on Christmas Day
✨ You can donate a Christmas gift bag to include a nice toy/game, a book, craft item, soft toy, selection box (age dependent).
✨ Purchase an item from our Amazon Wishlist that gets sent straight to us, so easy to do.(Link Below)
✨ Drop a present into us at our unit.
✨ Make a financial donation, this will help us to go out and buy toys for ages we have a shortfall in.

✨We need help✨
We are desperately looking for a handy person that can come into our unit on Marsh Barton once a week and help us prepare prams and cots, put batteries in toys and generally do small odd jobs to help maintain the unit.
If you have recently retired or know someone that has or like doing odd jobs and helping others and could give us a couple of hours once a week between 9.30 and 12 we would be very grateful,
We have lift off!!
The Baby Bank Christmas Appeal is now live!
We helped over 500 children last year and are hoping to exceed that number this year.
Here are the ways that you can help:
🎄 Make your own Christmas Bag - Choose a gender and age range via our form and then fill the bag with age appropriate gifts.
🎄 Make a purchase from our Amazon Wish List - We now have lots of gifts to fit all the age ranges that you can buy. These will then be delivered directly to the Baby Bank.
🎄 Get your workplace involved - Set up a collection point and make the Baby Bank your Christmas Charity.
