We at Dr Legumes aim to create a culinary experience through a secret dinner club, based on a health conscious approach to eating. At Dr Legumes our basis for creating dishes comes from looking at the nutritional value that ingredients provide, then combining these ingredients to create a balanced level of vitamins and minerals that can support a healthier lifestyle.

Dr Legumes will be opening its doors as part of the 2024, from Thursday 01/08/2024 to Sunday 04/08/2024  we will be serving a special menu of Dr Legumes favourites, showcasing our sustainable plant based menu. During our extended brunch service we will be serving up some morning favourites and lunchtime street food classics. Join us from 10am to 3pm daytimes Thurs-Sun.
On Friday and Saturday evening we will be serving a specially curated taster menu with wine pairings. Here you can expect to get the full Dr Legumes culinary experience. Dinner is served from 6pm-9pm.

On both Saturday and Sunday from 12pm-4pm( FOOD&MOOD), we will be joined by and .pics bringing you the most tasteful selects and coldest sounds to soothe your ears, while we soothe your belly! 🌱🌱🌱

1 Year on!🎉🎉🎉
A special thanks goes out to our community of like minded individuals and loyal customers alike. One whole year in our new space and it feels like we are just getting started!!!

We want you to celebrate this wonderful occasion with us on Sunday May 5th, from 12pm-7pm at 10 Rendezvous Street, Folkestone, CT20 1EX. The soundtrack for the day will be curated by non other than , bringing you the waviest selection of r&b, neo soul & global rhythms.

We will be cooking up a one plate feast of colourful flavourful plant based delights, while also satisfying your need to get loose with a selection of carefully curated cocktails. Food will be served from 12pm-3:30pm, we will then continue serving drinks from the bar up until 7pm.

We’re looking forward to welcoming you to our Food, Wine & Opera Event. This will be a great opportunity to sample a bespoke 5 course taster menu with wine pairings.

We will be joined by George from Ellis Wines who will be talking us through 5 courses of wine pairings and sharing his knowledge and passion for Old & New World wines.

George’s talk will tie in with the themes of our event, covering seasonality and sustainability in food and winemaking.

Yorkshire born opera star Annette Wardell trained at the Royal College Of Music London and the Royal Northern College Of Music Manchester. She has performed many of the repertoires leading roles for Carl Rosa Opera, Buxton Festival and Raymond Gubbay. On the concert platform she has performed as soloist with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Halle Orchestra, Manchester Camerata and National Symphony Orchestra amongst others, as well as being regularly invited to perform for the British Royal Family and foreign dignitaries. Photographed for British Vogue and Winner of the recent National competition to find the Face Of Annette’s largest audience to date was at the at the iconic FA Cup Final where she performed live to a stadium crowd of 78,000, 280 million viewers worldwide!

Just another excuse to celebrate the mighty PEA. We love using this ingredient!High in vitamins,minerals & protein,low in calories, peas are used in both savoury and as a sweet option. Find these favourites on our summer 23 menu.

As of this coming week, we will open on Friday & Saturday evenings!🌱🎉🌱 We have created a menu that suits our intimate service on our communal table of 12. We have decided to offer two time slots to maximise our serving potential.Bookings will be taken in 6pm-6:30pm and 8pm-8:30pm time slots. Spaces are limited and to reduce late cancellations we kindly ask for a deposit of £5per person on booking(this will be taken off your final bill).

We’ll be featuring some regular classics and reveal the progress we’re making as we breathe life into our new restaurant space! 🤩

In January 2020 we launch our mental health initiative for young men aged 16-32 years of age.This initiative (Wallnuts) was a collaboration between Dr Legumes CIC(Lee & James) & Councillor Arike Stan Grant, supported by the .The duration of Wallnuts was for a period of 6weeks. This was a weekly meet-up to provide an opportunity for a diverse group of young men to sit around a table, share a meal and discuss ways of improving on and managing our own mental health. Here we had the opportunity to discuss challenges we face, identity issues as well as ways and means we as men can be more available for each other. The workshops gave us an opportunity to cook together and expand on group knowledge of plant based food.Our first 6-weeks were was attended by 11 individuals and completed just in time for the Covid-19 Lockdown.

We will be continuing this initiative as we progress and settle in to our new space.We hope to partner with other local charities and community groups to bring this to fruition.🌱🌱🌱
