⭐ The last referral to go out in September was this one! It was packed full of lots and lots of items needed by a baby boy and his Mumma. Their community midwife delivered the items to the family.
⭐ We are so pleased to be able to make good use of the donations you give to us, ensuring that they go to families who are in need. Our local professionals are excellent at picking up those families who need some extra support, putting in a request for them and finally, collecting + delivering the items.

🍂 Here are just a few of our wonderful professionals who refer families to us.
🍂 They do this on top of their already full workloads and then collect the items from us and deliver them directly to the families.
🍂 They are all amazing and are appreciated by us + by the families for noticing what the needs are and then going to all the effort they do, to get them the help that is required. THANK YOU ALL!
🍂 This emergency referral went to a family whose little one had arrived unexpectedly early. They were in need of smaller clothing than they had prepared for, which we were pleased to provide.
🍂 Having been discharged from hospital, following surgery, the family need to avoid close proximity to others but providing them with a pram will hopefully allow them to get out and about for walks together, in less crowded areas. We wish them a good recovery.
🍂 A surprise gift of £500 came to us last week from the Little Treasures Toddler Group. Thank you to all the families who attend. We were so pleased to receive this unexpected gift and know that many local families will benefit, as a result.

🍂 This bundle was a huge one! All the items pictured, plus a pram went to this family who are expecting a baby boy. It was all delivered to them by their midwife.
🍂 Mum had done so well to get together lots of items which her 2 week old baby needed. We were pleased to support her with some final items that she required and are grateful to the Health Visitor who spotted this need.
🍂 It's always a pleasure to be able to piece together bespoke bundles according to the needs and requests that we are presented with. It is great that professionals have good relationships with their families and can offer support in practical ways.
🍂 We have an article in the latest edition of and CommunityAd.
🍂 Take a look 👀 and learn more about us.
🍂 A huge thank you to all those of you who put funds into our account. Some of you give a regular monthly amount + others give a one-off payment. Either way, we are so grateful.
🍂 The items we purchase the most are mattresses, as we replace every mattress in pre-loved Moses baskets + cots. We sometimes find ourselves purchasing highchairs, cots, car seats and other items that are requested. Finally, we love a bargain, so if we see items we distribute at a great price, we use funds to buy them.

🍂 We love it when someone who has received from us is in a better place and wants to donate, to help others (Or in this case it was her sister). Thank you.

🍂 Thank you.
🍂 Our first request to go out in September went to the family of a baby girl and was delivered to them by a local midwife.
🍂 We are constantly amazed at the lengths professionals go to, to support the families they work with. They often come to us outside of their work hours to collect the items and sometimes even when they're not feeling 100%. They are determined to support vulnerable families and give them the extra help that they need.
🍂 Here is another referral that went out during our summer break. This time a pram, to a mum who was homeless when the request was made, and needed our help.
🍂 We are always so pleased to be able to respond to requests from professionals, to help families in whatever way is required. Having a pram/pushchair enables the parent to be able to access the community, go to the shop and attend appointments + community groups. This is vital for the health (physical + mental) of both parent and baby.
🍂 A huge thank you to Andrea, our volunteer who safety checks, cleans and stores our donated prams + pushchairs and to Annie, who stores some for us, too.
One You Kent
🍂 Thank you to Jackie + Pippa, our volunteers, who between them pack all our referrals. Having liaised with the person referring to see what the needs are, they then source and pack the items required, before arranging with the professional to collect them and deliver to the family.
🍂 The Moses basket starter pack in the photo was collected by a Social Worker during our summer break, for a baby boy. We included everything required to help this little one get off to a good start in life.
🍂 Without your donations, we can not do this vital work. Thank you for enabling us to support local families. Below are the items that we need to stock up on, at the moment:
🍂 We accept new or pre-loved items, in excellent condition.
🍂 You can also donate money to us via this link: https://cafdonate.cafonline.org/15046...
🍂 You could also purchase Pick Up Packs for us, from Folkestone Morrisons.
🧡 A straightforward way to support us is by buying a Pick Up Pack from Morrisons
🧡 Simply find the cage to the left of the entrance gates, pick a bag with contents for mum/baby + complete your shop. Pay for it at the till and leave it in the cage at the far end of the tills by the café. Packs cost around £3/4 each, and so it's a very affordable way to support us.
🧡 Thank you so much to those of you who purchase these regularly for us. We have come to depend heavily on these items to keep us well stocked.
🧡 Thank you so much to all our supporters who put funds into our account. All the items in these photos are items that we have managed to purchase with our funds.
🧡 Having funds in our account means that we can buy new mattresses for our cots and Moses baskets, as well as other items requested by professionals which we do not have in stock. It enables us to respond to requests, in a timely manner.
🧡 This is such an important and highly valued way to support us. Thank you very much indeed. If you would like to support us in this way you can do so via this link: https://cafdonate.cafonline.org/15046?fbclid=IwAR12SOzHj3F7O4CoV-The0IIQ--HDDRFEp7hCBOIhNM9SAzT_PRDKMAJT-s #!/DonationDetails
🧡 Can a group that you're part of, help us in this way, please?
🧡 A HUGE thank you to Castle Green . Pippa went along one morning recently to chat with them about the work we do, and they very kindly collected a number of items for us and donated £194.15. We are so grateful for their kindness and generosity.
🧡 Do you belong to a group that could support us in a similar way? If you'd like to know more, please get in touch. We'd love to chat with you.

🧡 It is so pleasing to see what a difference your donations make to the families that benefit from them. Thank you so much for your ongoing support.
🧡 Part of the team who make a difference are our washing and ironing volunteers. They have been kept busy since we re-opened for donations. Thank you, Ruth, Sally, Nikki, and Dawn. They turn bundles of clothes into freshly washed, ironed, and neatly folded items ready to be packaged for bundles going out to families.
Can you help?
We've had a request for a double buggy (one behind the other). One seat needs to lay flat as it is for a newborn (and the other for a 1 year old).
Do you have one in excellent condition you could donate? If so please send us a message ASAP. 🙏🏻
