Thanks to everyone who came along tonight, you all worked hard using your small pilates ball and I hope you especially enjoyed your relaxation at the end of class after all your hard work.

No experience required all levels welcome. I keep my classes small to allow me to keep an eye on everyone and that you progress at your own pace, using alternatives exercises/ layers if needed.

Remember to bring your MAT, a cushion for any sore knees or hips and water.

As he once said:

“Physical fitness can neither be achieved by wishful thinking, nor outright purchase.”

Pilates is not aerobics: as with yoga, it takes a bit of practice to properly master some of the techniques, so you need to stick at it to really reap rewards.

You will find that even a handful of sessions is enough to start feeling fitter and stronger. But stick with it for about 10 sessions, and you will definitely feel significant change.

‼️‼️ Unfortunately class is now cancelled tonight as the golf club has no heating due to frozen pipes. Next class will be on 31st January as its Burns Night at the club next week. Hope to see u in a couple of weeks or if you decide to come along to class on Monday.‼️‼️

It’s that time of the week again, your favourite Monday night Pilates class.

As promised we are practicing the art of pilates with our small equipment tonight again aka the resistance band.

Feel the benefits of the resistance band yourself tonight during our match workout. A simple one for starters is the leg openers as demonstrated below.

As class was cancelled last week I am super excited to confirm that I am still planning to do an introduction to the Pilates small props – Resistance band Pilates as promised.

The stretchy band has many great properties making it the perfect addition to our Mat Pilates workout tomorrow night.

For my regular Pilates clients looking for a challenge, resistance band Pilates can make both mat and equipment exercises more difficult. Plus, including it in our mat routine creates new and exciting exercise possibilities.

Hope everyone is looking forward to trying out our new exercises tomorrow night.

It’s that time of the week again, pilates and relaxation on a Monday night. What more could your body ask for!!!

Beginners/Intermediate mat pilates at the Masonic Hall, 7:15pm tonight.

Stooped over computers all day, our musculature actually develops to accommodate that position: we become slouched. Pilates can actually correct that slouch: through carefully focusing on specific movements, Pilates stretches the muscles surrounding the spine – people can literally end up taller.

As the man himself says:

“Change happens through movement and movement heals.”

Lovely to see such great turn out at class on Monday evening. The progress of the everyone is amazing to see and hopefully you can feel a difference in your core strength and flexibility.

Thanks to everyone who came along whether valued regulars or new faces dipping their toes in. I hope you felt the benefits of using the tennis ball 🎾 tonight and those pilates press ups 😀.

I'm hoping the reason for such a good turn out so far this year is that you feel so much better in your body when you do Pilates.

Pilates is AMAZING for core strength, control, concentration, breathing and relaxation and this helps with joint and bone health along with a stronger pelvic floor.

If you’ve not tried Pilates before why don’t you come along and give it a go. All you need is yourself and a MAT.
