I’ve been working lots and posting nothing, here’s one, a celebration of birds, their song and what they represent: freedom and peace. Every time I hear bird song recently it distracts from the disgusting world we’re living in, for a moment at least. Hope you are finding ways of managing and finding moments of calm too 🌸

P.s if you love birds and want to learn more about them I’ve been using this really great app called .bird.id it’s by far my favourite app, totally free and amount other things, you can record bird song and it tells you which birds you’re hearing, it’s absolutely fascinating stuff and all data collected goes back to scientists to study track.

I was recently going through all my sketchbooks and having a clean out of stuff and came across a wee sketch from years ago with this little note and I wanted to develop it into something to share.

I’ve been feeling a bit flat recently, and needed a to change my perspective a bit, working on this has helped me a bit, hopefully you can find some calm and reflection with it too ✨

My contribution to last weekends fundraising efforts for , massive well done to and also and for all the effort, we raised just over £2000! 🇵🇸

My piece is based on the story and words of a young Palestinian who was days away from starting university on the 7th of October. She is a young poet and artist “I am a person full of dreams, I deserve a life to achieve them” She had not been on social media for about a month she sent me a reply that she is safe and the artwork had reinstalled some hope in her, I’m so grateful she is well ❤️

A pleasure to work on this little number for a new short film about the wonderful neighbourhood of govanhill 👋

I’ve been living here for 5 years or something and with this drawing I wanted to try and capture a wee bit of the feeling of govanhill that make it a really unique place, the diverse voices and kind hearts are what make it such a special spot for me and these feeling are the focus of this drawing. The short film just premiered this weekend with screening in govanhill soon, check out account for info in that!

GROWING EVERYDAY 🌸

You’re just a wee flower in a big meadow of flowers trying your best and that’s all a flower can do!

Got some dragonfly’s in this one, they are the first thing I remember drawing repeatedly as a child with my dad.

Some dragonfly facts for you on this dark Tuesday morning:

dragonfly’s have 30,000 facets which make up their enormous eyes and can see pretty much 360 degrees except one black spot right behind their head.

They have been around for something like 300 million years!? One of earths most ancient insects

They can live for upto 6 and a half years, depending on altitude and species but most of that is in their larve form underwater (some species even live in the salt water of the seas)

Little house tiger 🐅
We adopted a gorgeous wee cat called Bambi, and I made this print to mark the occasion.
We’re so chuffed to have her around, she’s a confident and sweet girl who absolutely loves parkouring all over the gaff. The power of these little fluffs amazing, I feel so much more content with her kicking around, particularly waking up to her sweet purring and sitting on my head!

A super fun one for who’s brand new EP is being released on the 25th of October

Stopped working on this cause I was feeling not good enough and lost on this one. A little bit of time really is a healer, caus now with fresh eyes I think it worth getting it finished, it is right?

Close ups on ‘into the undergrowth’ I poured my soul into this in lockdown, it was one of those ones that’s actually painful to finish and got it the varnish on it about 2 in the morning for it to go be hung at storytellers exhibition the next day 😅 I’ve been updating my website and going through all my work today and fallen back in love with this massive babe.
Looking for a place to display this big big boy somewhere in Glasgow, if anyone has a shout, lemme know 👀
