We have been drawn at home to in the 4th round of the Amateur Scottish Cup. Fixture details to be announce but we can confirm that it will be on Saturday 7th December 2024.

CAMPSIE AFC VS TORYGLEN THISTLE FC
SCOTTISH CUP
1’-9’ – The game started like a typical Scottish cup tie, very intense and high paced with both teams creating half chances in the opening 9 minutes. Campsie had a half chance at the front post but the number 9 put his effort wide. Thistle got in behind the full back with Jack Stewart who fired the ball across but just before it fell to Mcgregor the campsie centre halves cleared the ball for a corner kick.
10’ 1-0 GOAL TORYGLEN RUAIRIDH MCGREGOR- The ball was played down the left hand side to Jack Stewart who got in behind the full back and rolled the ball across the 6 yard box were it was met by McGregor who slotted into the bottom right corner.
12’ 1-1 GOAL CAMPSIE- Campsie immediately struck back with a run down the left wing and a delivery into the box which was met with a header into the roof of the net 1-1.
13’-29’- Intensity never let up in a very entertaining match with both teams battling for every ball. Both sides showing different tactics, Campsie going very direct to their striker, thistle changed shape after conceding and controlled more of the possession playing out from the back into Joe Dickson who was outstanding on the day constantly finding Jack Stewart on the left wing.
29’- BIG CHANCE TORYGLEN- A corner was delivered from Bradley Gray which was met from a Marco McGilivray header which rattled off the crossbar and was cleared from Campsie.
34’ PENALTY TORYGLEN – Bradley Gray delivered a corner from the right which was cleared and found its way back out to Gray. Brad then went by the full back with a double step over and found himself in the box and done another step over past another defender who fouled him PENALTY!
34’ 2-1 GOAL TORYGLEN MARCO MCGILIVRAY- Marco stepped forward and fired the ball into the bottom right hand corner.
39’ BIG CHANCE TORYGLEN- Campsie had a corner which was collected by Daniel Graham, who played a first time ball over the top on the counter attack which caused confusion in the campsie defence and the ball fell to Jack Pellow 1v1 at a tight angle who put it over the top.

SUB ON MURDOCH (SUB OFF PELLOW)
45’-54’- Second half began with both sides not creating much. A couple corners from either side but nothing worth mentioning. Toryglen with majority of the possession.
55’ BIG CHANCE The ball fell to Jack Stewart about 10 yards out from goal, the winger tried to place it in the corner but was met from a great save by the Campsie goalkeeper.
59’ 2-2 GOAL CAMPSIE- Ball was played in behind Rowan at right back who miss timed the pass back to Graham leading to the attacker going in 1v1 and slotting home in the far away corner 2-2.
60’-68’ – After the equaliser Campsie picked up the momentum naturally, winning a couple corners but not putting great pressure on Graham in the thistle goal. Toryglen then swapped the wingers back over Stewart returned to the left and Rocco to the right and it paid off immediately.
69’ 3-2 GOAL TORYGLEN ROCCO MCGILIVRAY- Toryglen took the lead again, the ball was worked from the left into the box and at the front post Rocco McGilivray found himself making contact to the ball first before the defender resulting in the ball hitting the net 3-2.
72’ SUB OFF SHAH (SUB ON MCLEAN)
77’ 3-3 GOAL CAMPSIE- Toryglen played the ball across the back from Murdy to Graham and the ball was then intercepted In the forward pass to the midfield, Campsie worked the ball out to the left and the striker came inside with the ball and finished into the far away top corner 3-3.
80’ 4-3 GOAL TORYGLEN RUAIRIDH MCGREGOR- The winner came when Thistle played the ball from midfield through Brad Gray into Fraser Scott who had a great turn with the ball and played it wide to Gil Mclean to hit a great cross back post which was met by Jack Stewart on the by line and a first time cut back into the path of Ruairidh who fired into the roof of the net 4-3.

80’-91’- For the remaining minutes Toryglen shut up shop going into a 4-5-1 and being solid as a unit. Marco and David Rowan really taking control of the back line with Joe Dickson controlling the midfield in front of them.
92’ RED CARD CAMPSIE- Campsie number 9 seen red after an altercation in the dying minutes whilst his own player was down injured.

TORYGLEN V KINGSPARK UNITED
1’-19’ A quiet opening 19 minutes. Toryglen keeping majority of the possession without opening up a compact Kingspark.
19’ 1-0 GOAL JOE DICKSON- Thistle worked the ball down the left hand side to Brad Gray who dribbled past the defender and squared the ball to Joe Dickson who blasted home from 20 yards out.
26’ 2-0 GOAL JACK PELLOW- The second goal came not long after. A through ball down the right hand channel to Jack Pellow who drove towards the Kingspark box and fired a low effort across the face of the goal which deflected off a defender and went in off the under side of the crossbar.
33’ 3-0 GOAL ROCCO MCGILIVRAY- Joe Dickson took the ball on the turn in the middle of the park and played a ball over the right hand channel to Jack Pellow who ran in behind the full back and fired the ball across to Rocco who calmly finished beyond the goalkeeper.
38’ 4-0 GOAL JACK PELLOW- Thistle added a 4th when the Kingspark midfielder passed the ball back to the goalkeeper, who took a touch and tried to play it out to his left back, but Jack Pellow made up 15 yards with the press and intercepted the pass with a first time finish high into the net.
39’ PENALTY- Thistle worked the ball down the left hand side with Jack Stewart who played it back to Rocco on the edge of the box. Rocco drove past the defender, who then brought him down.
40’ 5-0 GOAL MARCO MCGILIVRAY- Marco stepped forward and placed the penalty into the bottom right hand corner.

SUB ON PURDIE, ALLAN (SUB OFF STEWART, BOYD)
55’ 6-0 GOAL ROCCO MCGILIVRAY- Toryglen caught Kingspark on the break down the right hand channel with Jack Pellow who drove with the ball and played it across to Rocco who finished for his 2nd of the game.
57’ PENALTY MISSED- Kingspark worked the ball into the box on the right hand side and the striker took a heavy touch, the striker stretched to reach the ball but Daniel Graham pounced on it with 2 hands but the referee dubiously decided to point to the spot. Number 3 stepped forward and hit the pen but Graham got down to his right side and kept it at 6-0.
58’ 7-0 GOAL ROCCO MCGILIVRAY- Jack Pellow won the ball just inside the Kingspark half and played it to Rocco who drove towards the KP box 35 yards out from goal, when met in a 1v1 with the goalkeeper the striker calmly slotted past the goalkeeper into the far away corner to get his hat trick.
59’-90’ For the remaining half hour Toryglen kept possession and created some half chances which were met from good saves by the KP goalkeeper

TORYGLEN V SOUTHSIDE
1’-30’ First half hour was low on chances between the two sides. Toryglen controlling main periods of possession without really creating too much. Southside had a couple long range efforts from Ryan Metcalfe that never troubled Daniel Graham.
32’ PENALTY CLAIM – The first clear opening Toryglen made was when Rocco McGilivray worked his way into the box from the left hand side and was fouled, but the referee waved the away the penalty claim which looked a clear foul from both dugouts.
39’ 1-0 GOAL MARCO MCGILIVRAY PENALTY – After a duel in the southside box the ball looked to have been cleared, only for the referee to dubiously pull it back for a penalty via handball from the southside player. Marco stepped forward and slotted the ball into the bottom right hand corner.
44’ 1-1 GOAL METCALFE SOUTHSIDE – Southside had looked dangerous on the break and just before half time got the equaliser. Toryglen had players forward for the corner and were left exposed at the back and after a mis control from Allan and an unfortunate slip for McGlynn. Metcalfe went through and calmly slotted beyond Daniel Graham.

45’-53- Second half started very much like the first half. Both teams flat and not creating much.
54’- SUB ON GRAY, PELLOW (SUB OFF ALLAN, STEWART)
57’- 2-1 GOAL RUAIRIDH MCGREGOR – It never took long for the subs to make and impact. Brad Gray immeditaley having an impact down the left hand side after a couple step overs and driving the ball across the box and it falling kindly to McGregor, the big striker took the ball on the turn and finished into the top right corner.
63’ 2-2 GOAL METCALFE SOUTHSIDE – Southside won the ball in midfield on the right hand side and played a switch ball from Harrity to Metcalfe who was 25 yards out from goal. The striker took a quick touch on the turn and rifled a finish into the bottom left hand corner.
68’ BIG CHANCE SOUTHSIDE- Southside then had a big chance to make 3-2. Metcalfe rolled the Toryglen defender and went through 1v1 and forced a great save from Daniel Graham at a tight angle.
69’ BIG CHANCE TORYGLEN- Straight from the 1v1, Toryglen then went through 1v1 with Rocco at a tight angle but the striker failed to hit the target to make it 3-2 to the thistle
70’ SUB ON RANKIN (SUB OFF McGREGOR)
70’-90’ Last 20 mins there were very little chances created between the two sides. Toryglen with the majority possession but struggled to break down a rigid southside defence

Very poor on the day from thistle but the unbeaten run continues 🔴⚫️

1’ – This Scottish cup classic started out with Gleniffer fast out the block in the first few minutes, being very physical and controlling the game in Toryglens half
4’ 1-0 GOAL GLENIFFER (PENALTY) - A corner kick came in and was poorly cleared with the ball heading back out the 18 yard box towards the corner flag when Marco McGillivray fouled the striker from behind just inside the area. PENALTY converted from Gleniffer down the middle.
8’ – BIG CHANCE Gleniffer – The slow start continued for Toryglen when Gleniffer worked the ball down the right and flashed the ball across the face of the goal which was met by the striker at the back post which Daniel Graham produced an outstanding point blank save.
10’ – Toryglen then got a hold of the game winning duels in the middle against two very physical centre midfielders from Gleniffer. Fraser Scott, Logan Campbell and Joe Dickson all started dictating the play and driving the ball out wide to Rocco and Jack Pellow
14’ - BIG CHANCE Toryglen – Toryglen began to really press for the equaliser by taking full control moving the ball left and right and a big chance followed from a switch ball from Marco through to his brother Rocco who was unlucky in the finish.

22’ 1-1 GOAL TORYGLEN (PENALTY) JOE DICKSON– Toryglen worked the ball down the left and fired a through ball for Ruairidh McGregor, which sent the physical striker through on goal battling with the Gleniffer’s centre half who brought down toryglen’s number 9. Joe Dickson stepped forward and calmly slotted the ball to his right hand side equalising for Toryglen.

23’to 45’ - Toryglen controlled the rest of the first half creating a few half chances and having major success down the left hand side with Rocco McGillivray driving at the back line, the 18 year old was a constant threat. Gleniffer were always dangerous with a few set pieces but nothing that caused to many problems for TTFC.
HALF TIME 1-1
46’ to 57’ - Second half started similar to the first Gleniffer coming out fast and physical, playing for set pieces and knock downs from the long throw of Gleniffers number 7. Toryglen had long periods of possession but not creating great amounts of clear chances.

58’ 2-1 GOAL GLENIFFER – Another long throw from number 7 on the left hand side into the box were Gleniffer won the flick on and the ball fell kindly to a Gleniffer player and the midfielder slotted home into the bottom right hand corner.

67’ BIG CHANCE Toryglen – TTFC management team Kieran Scott and Tam Graham decided to make the changes that they felt would take control of the game and try and get the equaliser. It almost worked immediately from a corner with a great ball to the back post and Marco McGillivray missing the contact by inches to make it 2-2.
68’to 75’ Gleniffer were still showing that they were a strong unit being difficult to break down and at the other end being a constant threat with the long throw and corners creating a few half chances. From a possession stand point toryglen had a lot of the possession and half chances but were struggling break down the solid unit of Gleniffer to create anything clear cut. Thistles management then made another player change and tactical change to the shape to go for it.

78’ 2-2 GOAL TORYGLEN RUAIRIDH MCGREGOR – Toryglen won a free kick on the edge of the box after a great solo run. Aidan Allen stepped forward with the left footed strike down to the goalkeepers right causing a parried save out to McGregor who’s return strike deflected into the top corner 2-2.

79’ to 85’ – the game then continued on a knife edge with both pressing for a winner but also cautious of losing the tie.
85’- BIG CHANCE Toryglen- Toryglen worked the ball from right hand side into the Gleniffer penalty box with the ball falling to Bradley Gray. The forward tried an audacious finish with the outside of his right foot but put it over the bar.

89’ 3-2 GOAL TORYGLEN JACK STEWART – Just as the tie looked like it was going to replay in Renfrew next week the gleniffer goalkeeper under hit a goal kick which fell to lightening quick Jack Stewart. Stewart found himself with the ball at his feet 45 yards out from goal and drove towards the gleniffer thistle goal with seconds left of the 90. The forward slid the ball past the goalkeeper into the bottom corner as cool as you like, running away in sheer jubilation removing his number 11 jersey and was joined in the corner by his fellow teammates and coaches in a pile up celebration.

90’to 96’ The referee then added on 6 additional minutes and Gleniffer pushed and pushed with set pieces but Toryglen seen the game out. 3-2 to Toryglen in an absolute classic.
