InflateSail Release Statement, 24.06.2017, 12:34 PM:

We are pleased to announce that we heard the InflateSail beacon immediately on the first pass over SSC, and the signal levels were strong. The beacon was exactly on the predicted frequency and our automatic demodulation/decoding systems produced excellent telemetry.

We are analysing the telemetry data now, but a quick look shows the spacecraft in good health – the battery voltage, solar array currents, solar cells charging currents and transmitter powers are all nominal. The spacecraft rotation rates look to be very modest.

Congratulations to the Surrey Team and to VKI, the owners of the satellite. Regards, Prof. Craig Underwood (SSC PI)
