It was great to visit the Middlesex Association for the Blind (MAB) Mobile Resource Unit in Kneller Gardens, Twickenham, this morning. Andy Olgado, Manager of the Unit, was busy providing information and advice and the unit had a wide range of specialist equipment on display for people with visual impairment. A lovely addition to the display were some beautiful home-grown flowers provided by gardening enthusiast Andy. Hampton Fund are pleased to be supporting the MAB Home Visiting Service and Rapid Response Counselling support for people in the local area who are blind or partially sighted. Had a wonderful visit to the ETNA Centre last week. Caught up with space2grieve, a unique charity that provides bereavement support for Richmond residents. Good to see the new kitchen facilities at ETNA and the new sensory garden. Vanessa and the Team have done a wonderful job. There was a real buzz at Real Junk Food Project and the food was tasty! Finally, a chance to meet with Ruth Durant, of Richmond EAL Friendship Group Centre, who was holding an EAL Class, which included some Ukrainians who have recently arrived in Richmond.
