Friday Words…..
What do they make you feel?
Awareness Days
Did you know that April is Stress Awareness Month?
Most months have an illness or subject that is the theme for that month with the aim of buidling awareness.
As health and wellbeing professionals they give us a topic to discuss, blog, post or create trainings and workshops around and get great publicity both for ourselves and of course more importantly to educate about the topic itself.
They are a quick and easy tool. You can also sign up to my monthly email reminding you of each awareness day/week and monthly topic with or without a range of images to use if you find yourself short of time to research each month in advance here

Don't forget to create your posts and raise awareness

What's your biggest challenge right now?
It's not been the easiest couple of years for physical therapists or many in the health and wellbeing industry.
We've either had to move our businesses online, try to support without touch or struggled to get going again when able to work.
It's a difficult thing not being able to put your hands on someone when it's how you've worked for years.
But we're nothing if not adaptable, creative and capable thankfully.
Over in my fb community we're chatting about challenges and in particular what challenges we're currently facing now that things are settling into a new normal.
Join us, or comment and tell me your biggest challenge in business right now.
That fantastic feeling
when you've spent the last two days totally revising your website, rewriting copy, adding in new ways of working with you, new offers and more.
Started building your community and engaging with other health and wellbeing professionals and you just know it's going to make a difference.
That feeling - bliss!
Tribe, family, community - where is yours?
We’re all so busy running our businesses, helping clients, being a wife, mum, daughter etc that sometimes we forget that we too need connection with our colleagues.
I’m lucky in that I work in a centre with other amazing therapists and do regularly get a quick catch up.
But, lovely as that is and much as I value it it’s usually snatched between clients.
And when you’re building your practise sometimes what you need is support, encouragement, confirmation or advice.
If that’s you and you’d value somewhere to come and just be you, to question, support and increase you knowledge about the businessy stuff then come and join us, we’d love to really get to know you and your business.

Digital conferences
Loving how Covid has made virtual business events not only more possible but totally accepted.
Being confined to home with a heavy cold meant no attending the in person event today, but some fantastic tips, knowledge sharing and connections were made virtually at today’s run by
Some good changes brought about over the last few years means not only can we reach more clients virtually but also attend more trainings and events.
Win/win 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Words
What we say, how we say it, the words we choose, they all have incredible power.
A simple word can hold a world of meaning, a convoluted sentence can mean nothing.
On World Book Day I’m incredibly grateful for all the books that taught me the power and beauty of words.
These words hold such a deep message, but it’s perfectly expressed.
Weekend plans
On a snowy, freezing Saturday what else is a woman to do 😉💚
It’s been ages since I’ve had an excuse for an afternoon with a good book.
How’s your weekend looking?
Time for a network clear out?
Just lately it seems that I hear of colleagues with hacked social media accounts, or a sudden influx of ‘new followers’ with odd names.
It’s really important that we ‘clean up’ our social media much as we would our homes and treatment rooms.
Over the weekend I went through my IG profiles and my FB followers and removed a good few accounts that were obviously fake. Today it’s the turn of LinkedIn as fake accounts can actually harm your visibility on LI.
Will it impact my numbers? Yes of course, it reduced by a good amount BUT, and this is the more important part, it’s cleaned up my accounts and made it more secure.
You want genuine, engaged followers, not huge numbers filled with fake accounts.
Make some time in your diary to check dodgy followers, remove and block from all your social media. It’s worth it 💚
😌
Happy New Moon Day
When you’re planning your content do you consider lunar energy and how it impacts on our creativity, how we show up, self confidence and even whether we can easily access our message.
Did you know there are perfect times for hatching content, creating blogs, doing lives and more with lunar flow?
It’s not just intention setting/forgiveness rituals. You can do sooooo much more with lunar energy.
Do you plan with the moon?

Happy Client
Good reviews make my heart sing.
They don’t have to be long, shorts perfectly fine, especially when they arrive like this!
Long, short, really doesn’t matter, the energy of the review matters and this one definitely caused a happy dance.
Product description for my lovely colleagues new eco-friendly, luscious pedicure treatment.
Really enjoyed doing this one 💚
Hmmm, think maybe some proofreading wouldn't go amiss Waitrose 😉
Choose to challenge.
'We all move forward when we recognise how resilient and striking the women around us are. '
love this simple but oh so true quote by rupi kaur.
In honour of all the women in my life with thanks for the laughs, the tears, the conversations, the compassion, the love, the depth and the strength. You are all amazing 💚
On International Women's Day 2021 what are you choosing to challenge?
With the good news this week that, fingers crossed, clinics, beauty salons, hairdressers and all hands-on therapies can re-open in April my latest blog asks 'are you ready to re-open?'
There's no doubt that we'll be in demand, but have you taken time over lockdown to revisit your website and make any changes so that you stand out amongst your competition?
I'm sharing a few tips on what changes you can make now to ensure that not only are you ready to re-open but your website is ready to work for you and entice those new clients through your doors.

Wellbeing Writing Tips
Feeling stuck writing blogs?
Don’t think too hard, don’t worry about titles.
Start by writing the body of the text, get down on paper or screen the thoughts in your head.
Don’t worry about spelling or grammar at this stage, just write.
When your brain dump is done go back through it, spell check, correct any grammatical errors and read it through again.
Now edit. Once, twice at the most.
We can spend too long editing, especially if you’re a perfectionist. Don’t lose the message of your blog by over editing it. But do cut loose any unnecessary waffle or overly descriptive text.
Don’t be afraid to write. Others need your words 💜
Stuck on what to post today?
Don't think too hard. Words will flow again, and, in the meantime post a quote you love.
This one really spoke to me today. I'm currently working on writing new copy for an old website, bringing the products and services on there to life and shaping the website to reflect the company.
Even the most seemingly boring businesses have things that sell them, things you can talk about and write about.
So don't waste time pulling your hair out, share something simple that speaks to your audience, even if it doesn't feel especially powerful to you at this moment someone out there just might need to hear it 💜

Soul Time
It's Friday, it's almost the weekend and time out from homeschooling, work and must-dos.
What have you got planned?
Hopefully there's some downtime in there, and maybe even a little romance?
I've got some writing and some cooking planned, dog walks and cuddles along with a lovely Valentine meal with my other half.
Whatever you do, have a good one 💚
Thoughts.
"If we understood the power of our thoughts..." so begins this wonderful quote by Betty Eadie.
Much as we work with mindset my personal thoughts are that we have a whole untapped power that we haven't yet begun to understand.
Thoughts are incredibly powerful things, pay them attention.
Change negative thoughts and replace them with a positive one. It takes time to create habits and this changing thought pattern takes time too.
But we can do it, we can change how we think. We can create abundant and positive mindsets and build abundant and positive businesses that attract in our ideal clients.
Think about where you can work on your thoughts - what's stopping you from changing? How can you use this with your clients? And what copy can you write about it?
The written word.
Do you write for growth and pleasure or just for business?
I have a daily journal and I love picking out new journals to write in. It doesn't matter if it's a specific thought train or just a stream of consciousness but I find that it helps my mindset, sets me up for the day and makes me think about where I am on my journey.
And sometimes, some of those thoughts translate into a blog or social media post. Sometimes they become a workshop or idea for a creative day.
Our thoughts are behind our words and they matter. And behind our thoughts is our heart and our soul. Writing from the soul rather than the head is a great place to connect in with yourself and your higher self.
Don't know what to write - don't worry, start with a single word and see where it takes you.
If you'd rather have some guidance have a look at The Artists Way by Julia Cameron, it talks all about daily pages and how to begin.
You never know where you might end up when you start.
Writing with positivity.
I love, love, love this part of this awesome quote by Betty Eadie. How incredibly powerful is the image invoked by these words?
'If we understood the awesome power of our words, we would prefer silence to almost anything negative.'
Simply perfect and perfectly true.
We think so carefully before speaking when we're working with our clients. And silence itself can speak volumes.
Sometimes it's better to be silent than rush to speak, and in doing so saying something that we might regret.
And it's the same in our written words too. If you can't think of something to say then take a break.
Go, do something else and come back to it later.
Or simply say nothing.
Do no harm, a wonderful way to be.
Consideration.
Social Media has power. The ability to wound with words is the same whether written or spoken. As is the ability to heal, or make someones day.
When you choose to comment on a blog or a post think about what went into making that post or blog. What was in the mind and the heart of the creator?
Before reacting pause. How would you feel if someone posted negative feedback on a post because they pressed post without thought.
Do your words really say what you want them to do or are they triggering something in you?
There's absolutely nothing wrong with making a stand when you disagree with something, but choose what you say with thought.
It matters.
Creating our reality.
As health and wellbeing professionals we know that
our thoughts create our reality.
We know that no matter what we say it is the power
behind the words, the power of thought that matters.
Do you think about what goes into the words that you
use?
Think about what you are saying and what you are
creating with the words you speak and the words you
write.
Dare to share.
How often do you share your story with your followers?
Have you dared to share details about you not just
what you do?
Sharing about our modalities is helpful but anyone
looking to work with us wants to see who we are. What
we do in our spare time. What we believe in. What
we're passionate about.
When you share your story you give others permission
to share theirs too.
Everyone has a story, most people think it's boring.
Trust me your story is far from boring. Dare to share a
little of yourself in your words.
Speak from your heart
When you write a post, a blog, some copy for your
website do you write from your heart or your head?
Do you put yourself in the position of your client and
think about what they might be looking for? Or do you
write what you think they might need?
Are you writing from a place of abundance and growth
or limitations and lack?
Choose to see the joy in life.
Our limitations and joys begin in our hearts. If your mindset needs a shift do the inner work.
When you can demonstrate that you've done your own inner work it's easier for clients to trust you, they know you walk your talk.

With so much negativity around in the media at the moment it's easy to get sucked into thinking anything we write should come from a point of pain.
But is that really how you want to appeal to your prospective clients and followers?
Think about where you are coming from when you post, comment or share - is it spreading negativity or positivity?
It's getting very exciting here, the new logo and branding for My Wellbeing Wordsmith, along with the new website are underway and all will be revealed very soon...
In addition to working with you on writing copy for your website, social media, blogs and more I have exciting plans to create done-for-you templates and prompts and advice on how to speak to your audience so you appeal to your ideal client without sounding salesy.
Can't wait to get started......
