St John's Pre-School

Welcome back everyone! 👋🏼

We've had a blast back at preschool and it's been wonderful to see all the children's smiling faces! 😊
We have loved seeing all the gorgeous homemade wreaths. Looks like there's been lots of fun, autumn walks over the half term break! 🍁🍂
We've been exploring the exciting sounds of fireworks and creating some dazzling firework pictures, as well as making some delicious chocolate apples. 🎆🎇🍎
We've even had our own mini bonfire and toasted marshmallows. 🔥 We had great fun at our dance class with Leah too 💃🏼🕺🏼

We've had a great time this half term! 🧙‍♀️🐟🐡🍁🍂

This week we've been reading about the green-fingered witch, Cress, and we even found her pumpkins in our very own garden! 😱 🎃
We had fun carving them ready for Halloween.
We have made some pumpkin patch masterpieces using fruit prints 🍎 and spooky masks to scare away the monsters!

Halloween Fun 🎃👻

We had a frightfully fun week of Halloween adventures! Witchy Nat stopped by for a potion-making class, and the children loved creating slimy concoctions, playing with bats, and rescuing spiders from the spooky orange rice.
We've painted pumpkin pictures, dressed up in our scariest costumes, and danced away to spooky tunes. It's been a spooktacular week!

After picking up our pumpkin from Roots and Fruits yesterday, we used Witchy Nat's spell to bring it to life! 🧙‍♀️✨
This morning, we met the real Christopher Pumpkin🎃We were amazed that the spell had actually worked!!! Our pumpkin had come to life!!
We're all so excited for the spooky adventures ahead with Christopher P!!

🍂🍁 Another fantastic week at preschool! We've enjoyed conker rolling, hedgehog crafts, leaf collecting, and chilly walks. We even had a blast jumping on crunchy leaves! 🍂

Leah's dance class was a hit, where we practiced our forward rolls. Plus, we've been loving the fun rhymes in our book of the week. 📚🎶

We've been busy observing the changing leaves, using magnifying glasses to discover tiny wonders🔎, enjoying splashing in the rain☔, and making fat balls for our feathered friends🐦
So much fun learning about nature's seasonal magic, plus so many other exciting activities!

🐡Aquarium Adventures! 🐠

We've had a splashing good time exploring Emily's Aquarium this week! The kids have been amazed by penguin parades, sealion acrobatics, and we've even caught a glimpse of a great white shark! (We were sure to keep our fingers away)🦈
Today, we have marveled at the vibrant colours of the tropical fish in their tank 🌈

What a fantastic start to our new academic year!

We've been busy making new friends, having a blast with fun activities, and learning all about teamwork, turn taking and friendship. From sharing our learning journals with our friends to playing with adorable puppies and going on walks, we've had a blast! 🐾

We have even created our own underwater sea world and learned all about fascinating sea creatures. 🌊
