Children's reading is close to our heart at the Herts Book Festival and the Storytime Tent on Saturday at Hertford - kindly sponsored by the Herts Children's Book Group - will be the place to celebrate children's books. Our free events start off at 10.00am with M.G. Vaciago - Author and Bruck talking about their 'Books that Help' and at 2.00pm Hertford Library will be doing their popular 'Storytime in the Park' session. Throughout the day there will be children's authors reading from their books, a fun treasure hunt challenge, and space for kids to talk about their favourite books, or just to sit and read!

R - Rebel of the Sands by Alwyn Hamilton
T - Traitor to the Throne by Alwyn Hamilton

Whilst at the festival, Iām going to look for books that start with H, E, R, T, or S. Can you spell HERTS with your books? If you post a pic, tag me and Iāll share to my stories.
We're excited to be attending the Herts Book Festival this weekend, at Hertford Castle Grounds on Saturday 18th May and at Southern Maltings in Ware on Sunday 19th May.
We'll be hosting a table at the Authors Market, where you can pick up a copy of some of the books that our members have written and published, meet members of the group - and find out more about us!
The festival has a great range of activities - with a range of workshops, open mic poetry, author talks and a book exchange. Each day runs from 10am to 4pm - so come along and join us on this fun weekend!
This is brilliant! And MG Vaciago will be talking about her new book at our featured session 'Books That Help' at the Herts Book Festival on Saturday - 10.00 in the Storytime Tent. Do come along for a fascinating discussion about how books can help children navigate difficult times.
