Would English GCSE booster sessions work for anyone?

Well it’s mocks and GCSE season out there folks, are you revising or helping your student to revise? What tips do you give your students?

There’s no substitute for making your own notes. English especially can be a tricky subject to revise for. Start small. Make sure you know what question is coming up and how it is evaluated it doesn’t hurt to know how long you’ve got to answer it too ;0)

What’s tips do you use?

A partial lesson using a survivors interview it had a great response from my class and provoked some really interesting talk about the language used in the media and also how we curtail the negative effects of corona, be well everyone. Take care

Corona virus survivor reveals what it's like to have the disease. I recently taught this lesson in my class and it provoked a good discussion about personal choice, how we can mitigate the spread of the disease and how we can best help those people in society who are more vulnerable. Here is an abridge version of what we looked at in class.

So first week... So exciting!! I'm going to be giving a grammar booster lesson to the parents at my daughters school, I've entitled it, 'Knowing your grandma or should that be grammar!' it's to arm parents with the basics of the names of grammatical items, the tenses and a little review of punctuation.
