Further to our post on Wednesday, we can now confirm that The Mermaid will close its doors on Sunday 7th November for the foreseeable future. We would like to thank our loyal customers and friends who have supported us over the years. Sad times 😢

The Mermaid 🧜‍♀️🧜‍♀️

As you will all be aware, the pub has been struggling for some time to remain operational to full capacity. This is a result of low bookings, staffing issues, and periods of closure during the various lockdowns. The team has tried tirelessly to kick-start the Mermaid by offering new and refreshed menus, listening to our lovely villagers, and offering a happy and cosy sanctuary.

Over the next few days, we will be offering a slightly smaller menu and will open Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening and we are hoping Sunday for lunch. Please bear with us whilst we try and keep our heads above water. We absolutely promise to keep you all informed regarding the future of The Mermaid. xx 🧜‍♀️🧜‍♀️

An ode to roast potatoes...
