Hydrate Hydrate Hydrate 💦

It seems obvious I know but when the weather is warmer and we’re being more active we must keep hydrated.

Not only for our general health and well-being but did you know drinking enough water can also impact on our skin, our digestive system and help us with unnecessary snacking?

So treat yourself to a lovely new insulated cup to help keep your water cool. Preferably with a straw as we tend to find it easier to drink more with a straw (who knew?!)

and stay hydrated guys 😊

Meal Prep!

Now this is new for me. Meal planning I’m used to doing me me, my family and my clients but I think this will be a game changer!

Making 4 days dinners takes the same time as doing I meal, not only will I save time but I’ll be less likely to go off plan if it’s there ready and waiting. And soooo much healthier and cheaper than ready meals.

• Chicken thigh with garlic granules air fried
• Bulgar wheat with vegan stock
• Green beans and tomatoes

I shall finish them off with satay or teriyaki sauce each day.

I’m looking forward to dinners this week!

Hope you’ve all had an amazing Bank Holiday weekend…now let’s get back to it!

We may have slightly over done it with the chocolate 🙋🏻‍♀️ but now it’s time to get outside and Walk ourselves back to Wellness!

Wellness isn’t just the absence of illness but the overall way we feel emotionally, mentally and physically.

This can be affected by the food we eat, the activities we do, the company we keep. So really our overall wellness is up to us to look after and improve.

One thing you can do which is free and accessible for most people is to get outside in the fresh air and walk.

Sometimes you can be put off going for a good long walk as maybe you don’t know where to go or who to go with…

It doesn’t have to be a long off exotic place or for miles and miles just start locally to you that is familiar and that you feel safe. If you want to try further afield then look on Google for walking routes.

Make sure you take supplies with you wherever you go, snacks, drinks, sunscreen/hat, rainmac just in case.

And always tell someone where you are going!

The benefits of walking…

There are many!

Firstly it’s free, who doesn’t love free?!

Walking is great at any age you can do it for as long as you want as often as you want and you can make it as easy or hard as you want.

Walk locally or venture further afield the choice is up to you!

It can help you to improve your sleep, reduce stress, increase energy, reduce inflammation, improve your immunity, improve mental health, help with weight loss….the benefits are endless 💫

Such an underrated form of exercise but let’s change that, let’s get outside and get walking 🚶‍♀️

Getting outside and walking is an underrated form of exercise.

So I shall be getting out and walking my way to wellness!

There are lots of benefits to walking one of which is it’s free to do! You don’t need specialist equipment and you can walk for as long as you want as often as you want.

How’s February going?

Are you still feeling motivated? Are you still consistent? Or was January the month you had all the intentions but now it’s hard to keep going?

If so you are not alone…

January can be the month we get ourselves in check then our dedication and consistency can sometimes start to wane in February and do you know why?

Because it’s hard! We put too much pressure on ourselves to change too much too soon and it’s just not easy to maintain.

I love being an accountability coach because I’m not telling you what workout routine you must do or what you HAVE to eat because that’s up to you! You can eat your way (just in a calorie deficit) which makes things much more easily manageable.

I’m here to guide you, help you, cheer you on. Give advice when you need it but most of all to keep you accountable and consistent in a fun achievable way!

From Monday I shall be running this as a FREE Feel Good February accountability challenge for anyone who wants to take part!

Over in my private facebook group ‘Being You’

It's about supporting you to achieve your ambitions and your goals.
So on Monday 30th January for 4 weeks I shall be posting in there.

All you need to do is think of what you would like to achieve and on Monday's comments thread, put in the comments what you are going to commit to that week to get you closer to your goals.

On Friday I shall do another post and you need to say what you have managed to achieve that week. It's really simple but the science says...

If you commit to someone that you are going to do something you are 65% more likely to do it.

If you have an appointment to check in and update that person you are 95% more likely to achieve your goals.

I'm calling it ‘Feel Good February’ because at the end of February I want you to feel good that you have achieved whatever you are aiming for!

Please note this is not full on 1:1 accountability coaching this is a weekly accountability challenge for anyone who wants to take part run in a group setting.
