We're excited to share that we recently reached the milestone of 25,000 enablements (similar to number of downloads for a smartphone app) of our Alexa voice app. It is wonderful to see more and more people creating their Kindspaces and using the app to check in with themselves every day with a moment to pause and focus on their own needs.

It's National Selfcare Week.

We're presenting online at the Rural Health and Care Wales conference today, sharing some work that we've carried out with the Health and Social Care Alliance here in Scotland, to help make information that supports wellbeing more accessible. The event theme is about embracing change, welcoming innovation and new ways of delivering rural health and care services.

Using smart speakers like Alexa to provide information and support helps to address many barriers that people face particularly as we move to more digitised ways of working. The presentation focuses on some of the key lessons learned as we embarked on designing the new information service and how we went about the co-design activities.

It's coming up to World Kindness Day on the 13th of November. So we thought it would be good to explore why kindness truly is a superpower.
💙 It promotes well-being. Acts of kindness have been shown to release oxytocin, a hormone that promotes wellbeing through its anti-stress-like effects such as reduction of blood pressure and cortisol levels.
💙 It strengthens relationships. Kindness is a key ingredient in building and maintaining healthy relationships. It fosters trust, empathy, and understanding, which are essential for strong connections with others.
💙 It inspires others. When people see others being kind, they are more likely to engage in kind acts themselves. This can lead to a positive ripple effect.
💙 It creates a sense of belonging. Kindness helps to create a sense of belonging and community. When people feel valued and included, they are more likely to contribute to the wellbeing of the group as a whole.
💙 It makes the world a better place. Kindness has the power to transform individuals, communities, and even the world. By choosing to be kind, we can contribute to a more compassionate and just society, where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

So why not tap into your superpower and make a positive impact on the world with a small act of kindness? Remember that kindness is also about being kind to yourself and is just as important.

It's International Stress Awareness Week. Stress can feel like an unavoidable part of modern life, but it doesn't have to be. This week, we encourage everyone to be more aware of their stress levels and take proactive steps to manage stress in healthy ways.

Do you have a mantra that you use or a favourite affirmation? For many people, a simple phrase, that helps you tune into the present and stop your mind from spiralling can really help.

For me, I have a favourite song called "Counting" by Lucie Silvas that I recite in my head. The song is literally about dealing with overwhelm and all the things that life throws at us.
