I spend a lot of time cleaning up other people’s SH*T… including soiled nappies but even I draw the line at cleaning up ADULT INCONTINENCE PANTS! FFS! Some people are so grim. 🤮🤢😡🤬

What a difference a day makes. The sun was shining this morning for the Woodbridge Wombles . Even a beautiful town like Woodbridge needs a little extra TLC now and again. Unfortunately there’s always to pick up but the Wombles always clear up with a smile on their face and a friendly hello for everyone they meet. We also took time to listen to some of the fab performers at the music event by the The Tea Hut. Great stuff! 💚🗑️🌍🚯

The weather is looking much better for tomorrow’s in Woodbridge. We’re meeting 10am at the Vintage Litter Museum and will be heading into town like a swarm of litter picking locusts. Come and join us. Everyone is welcome. 💚🌍🗑️🚯

Well, the prolonged torrential rain definitely affected our plans today but we’ve had so much fun this week for our first mini Plastic Fishing Festival. Thank you to everyone who braved the weather this morning to come along and support. Lots of fun conversations. We managed to finish our little puppet theatre too! I also wanted to say a massive thank you to GreenprintForum and East Suffolk Council for help funding the festival activities. 💚🌍🎏

It may be pouring down with rain outside but the sun is shining INSIDE here at the Vintage Litter Museum and Jetty Lane in Woodbridge. We won’t let the weather dampen our enthusiasm even though it’s our mini Plastic Fishing Frstival today (10am-2pm). We’ve had to scale things down quite a bit but there’s still plenty of fun craft activities and FREE refreshments! Come and visit the Vintage Litter Museum, help us complete our recycled puppet theatre and enjoy a cuppa and natter. You can also sign up to become an East Suffolk Plastic Action Champion. Hopefully we’ll see you soon! 💚🎏🌍

Is it going to our with rain? Probably, but are we going to let that stop us having lots of fun? Of course not. We’ve got lots of space inside to keep dry. 💚♻️🐟🎏🌍

Did you know it’s National Allotment Week? I spent the afternoon on Kevin Wallace’s laying a path between beds using some old slabs picked up via FB marketplace. Kev does such an amazing job managing the plot but needs help to take it to the next level so Deb and I are going to roll up our sleeves and get stuck in too. 💚🌍

I took my Operation Litter Ridder back pack bin to the beach today to do a . I found lots of including several . I also found a lovely piece of fossilised whale bone and a large fossilised shark tooth. Not a bad way to spend an afternoon… out in the fresh air doing something good for the environment. 💚

I’ll share more about the Litter Ridder soon including details of a free giveaway.

We all have a . Somewhere we feel at ease, content and find ourselves smiling for no apparent reason. A place where your happiness turns to joy. Mine is on the beach at East Lane .💚

Here’s an idea for a really simple litter picking kit you can take … even up a mountain. We visit these iconic beautiful locations because they are so beautiful… let’s keep them looking that way. So many times I find our wonderful British landscapes tainted by the actions of an inconsiderate few, it’s heartbreaking… BUT… our country is STILL STUNNING. It’s not completely trashed as some would have you believe. It is still a wonderful place to be. We can all make a difference whether it’s our own or not. Spot it… pick it up… and bin it. It’s not rocket science, it’s just the right thing to do. 💚🌍🗑️🚯

Rain or shine, day or night… a womble’s work is never done. Positivity, even when you feel your actions are having little impact is key. You CAN and WILL make a difference.💚🗑️🚯🌍

Started working on my latest art piece for the Vintage Litter Museum at the recent Latitude Festival and it certainly stimulated some interesting conversations. It incorporates thousands of cigarette butts, many of which were picked up from around the festival site. Just a couple more additions and the finished piece will be ready to share. 💚🗑️🚯🚬

Did you spot Rubbish Walks double page spread in The Sun today? Not every day you get to see your face in the national press! Raising awareness about the dangers of Cigarette butt has long been a passion of mine so being able to work with Keep Britain Tidy to help share this important message on the be national stage is an opportunity not to miss. 💚

Cigarette butts are the most common form of litter on the planet with over 4 trillion dropped around the world every year. PLUS they’re made of a type of plastic (yes, that fibrous material isn’t cotton wool, it’s plastic). And then there’s the toxic soup of chemicals that leach out into the environment. There is no upside to cigarette butts. Not one. In theory, every single cigarette butt dropped is a £80+ fine. Just because there isn’t a bin or ashtray close by there is still no excuse to flick it on the ground. Get yourself a portable pocket . Keep Britain Tidy have just released their own . Visit their website to find out more.

Mrs Rubbish Walks and I are celebrating our 29th today. A lot has changed in the world in those 29 years but one thing has never changed…the certainty in my mind that marrying this woman was the best decision I ever made. Love you to the moon and back Deb. Always. X💚

You would have to be nuts not to be concerned.

We know the problem. We know the solution. We just need the balls to do something about it. ⚽️🏀🏈⚾️🎾
