First little run πββοΈthis morning in a while and boy did I need it after an emotional week. Sharon this run is for my lovely πππ.
It's amazing what exercise can do for mental health, so instead of helping other people to workout I finally had some time to workout me π.
A run not far, but nice and steady as have a steroid injection in my poorly foot tomorrow so hopefully after that I will be bionic πͺπββοΈπββοΈπ€£, followed by a HIIT ABS workout with my trusty workout partner, pink kettlebell π.

My very first organised 10k run with Nottingham Holme Run πββοΈ this MORNING. NEVER done ANYTHING like this before! and at some points during the the run, never wanted to again, im no great runner as I've said before, but now I've actually achieved it I want to do another one..onwards and upwards.
Official time 1:13:55 very pleased with thatπ.
Had a wobble or two, but thanks to my lovely friend Penny π supporting me and George Michael β€ singing in my ear, I made it across the finish lineπ₯ and I wasn't the last one ππ.
That's another thing to tickβ off my bucket list. A well earned cuppa tea βπ« now I think.

This was waiting for my BOOTCAMPπͺπββοΈπββοΈ peeps this morning, Alertnating Cardio and Resistance moves to mix it up, including, Weighted step squats, The Sleigh with/ without plates push/pull, Slam balls, Battle ropes, Hurdles and ladders, Around the clock (Agility) to name a few!

Great way to start Monday and a new week with new goals. Really happy with my run this this morning was loving it that much that I ran a little bit further πββοΈπ. Not the fastest but am still testing my poorly foot. So far so good ππ€. Xdx π

My Monday Motivation Squad showed true determination, positivity and a real willingness to achieve their fitness goals in my ARMS, ABS & CARDIO CLASS using dumbells, wrist and ankle weights this evening. Strength moves enabling them to burn off calories long after the class has finished, therefore helping them get the very best out of their Horse Riding π΄π and so getting RiderFit!! π―π.
They are all keen equestrians and definately felt the burn π₯ and worked up a sweat π¦.
Well done Squad πβ every workout we do is progress!! Be proud of yourself as I am of you! Xdx π

Tbe best way to start the weekend is with a FANTASTIC workout! That's just what we did π―π.
A MASSIVE WELL DONE!! ππ. To my Saturday Squad! They where undoubtedly FIT, FIERCE and Totally FABULOUS π.
They ROCKED my 10am -11am Full Body Burner π₯ class this morning πͺ, Round 1: 8 exercises comprising of alternating upper and lower body moves using weights πββοΈ(tinned tomatoes π
π), 30 secs each exercise, no rest, 2 sets with 1 mins rest between sets. Round 2:The same again only with alternating Bodyweight and Ab moves. Then Round 3: All cardioπββοΈπ€ΈββοΈ to finish π₯π¦.
AWESOME! job Squad. Thank youπ for turning up and giving your ALL, energy motivation and lots of laughs π

Mindfulness Exercise: When things get a little bit too much and we start to feel overwhelmed π₯Ίπ§ββοΈ.
Right now we are all trying to live together, love together, laugh together and most of all trying our very best to stick together and as the Covid restrictions begin to ease, it's important that we reconnect, nurture and care for ourselves, not only physically by our home workouts but also mentally.
These uncertain and unusual times are bound to place undo pressure on our mental health which can be extremely draining. That's why I feel it is important that we take a little time out for ourselves to reboot and recharge.
This simple Mindfulness Exercise which I practice to calm my nerves when I'm feeling stressed, nervous or anxious ( especially when I'm having a jumping lesson π), can be done anywhere, in a quiet room, in the car ( when your not driving) or in the garden. GIVE IT A TRYπ.
FOCUS ON YOUR BREATHING
* Sit somewhere, and in a position that is comfortable for you.
*Breath in through your nose for 5 counts, at the same time close your eyes. Breath out for 5 counts at a nice steady pace.
* Focus on your breath moving in and out of your body, the rise and fall of you chest as you breath.
* If you find physical sensations like the kids barging in, interrupt you, note how that made you feel and then return your focus back to your breath.
* I have found that practicing this simple Mindfulness Exercise, if for just one minute each day really helps. You can do it for longer.

Beautiful day for a run π sunshine, fresh air, a little bit chilly but soon warmed up π₯π¦.
Just a short one this morning π to ease myself back into running mode π, then home for a quick Abs Blast, concentrating on the lower abs. A great workout can work wonders! πββοΈπββοΈπͺ xdx π HAPPY TRAINING! π.

Another happyπRiderfit Workout PT client! π. Thats what I love to see, my clients smiling whilst I'm putting them through their paces, achieving results.
Laura is a keen Equsetrian and rides 3 times a week, she specifically wanted me to tailer a workout that concentrated on her core, balance and legs and thats exactly what she got, with some cardio in mix as well. πββοΈπββοΈπͺ.
This workout I designed with Rider specific exercises to help with Laura's riding.

RiderFit Circuit Saturday! π΄ππͺπββοΈπββοΈ
Like myself, Daisy is a keen Equestrian and her fitness goals include getting riderfit, to enable her to get the most out of her riding and her horse. So this mornings PT session was based around exactly that π.
Using both my knowledge as a fitness professional and an equestrian, I designed this RiderFit Circuit to concentrate on rider specific areas of the body and muscle groups that play a vital role in all aspects of horse riding, eg. Abs/core, back, shoulders and hips, important for correct posture and balance, not only of yourself but for your horse also. If you are properly balanced in the saddle then that communicates through your seat to your horse and this will help him to become balanced tooππ―.
Included in my RiderFit Circuit, we worked on improving flexibilty (hips) and strength πͺ for butt's πand legs, important as riders for our seat and leg position in the saddle helping our balance. Alot of our communication to our horse comes from not only our hands but more so from our leg aids, these need to be clear and exact, so our horse understands what we are asking of him. Leg strength is also comes into play when we are jumping.
As an equestrian I have experienced that it is also important to be Cardiovascularly fit too. So this session had plenty of cardio moves throw in for good measure! πββοΈπ¦. This will help you as a rider to stay in the saddle longer (Endurance) improve your stamina and resilience to get you and your horse over those jumps and go on to do bigger and better things.

Absolutely smashing her way towards her fitness goals this morning, we focused on Full body Strength πββοΈ using dumbbells with some cardio accelerationπ₯π¦ in the mix to spice things up!
