Simple and powerful π
Fresh day, fresh start.
New moment, new beginning
Just breathe and begin again.....
"Set peace of mind as your highest goal,
and organize your life around it.β Brian Tracy
Holiday provides the space to wind down,
Let go,
Cease doing/fixing/striving
Turn off the 'busy busy' button.
It always takes me a whole to adjust to this new vibe and pace.
At least a week to be honest......
I'm getting there now. A gentle morning mooching about, a beach walk and picnic with one of my favourite people, now chocolate cake with a cup of tea in bed and an afternoon nap π

Sturmfrei
Literally storm freeΒ
Loving this German word that means ' the freedom of being alone', the ability to do what you want......
For me, today, it's an early beach walk and sea swimming.Β Β
Then allowing the day to unfold gracefully. No agenda. Opening up into the spaciousness of a holiday day.....
Β
Heading to the beach.........
Solo sand walking,
Well the dog and I together.
Peace and Space.

A new day brings the opportunity to choose an intention for the day.
What would you wish your offering to the world and your engagement with today to be?
You always get to decide π§‘
Would you like to bring;
Patience
Kindness
Joy
Enthusiasm
Compassion
Focus
Confidence
Presence
Acceptance
Or something else?
Set your intention like you'd aim an arrow in a bow - with purpose and awareness and commitment.
Reflect on why that intention is important to you. What difference or good could it do? Why does it matter, personally, to you?
Your motivation is the power and the energy behind your intention. It's what will propell you forward in the direction you want to travel.
It helps the arrow move towards its targetπ
Wishing you a beautiful new day,
fresh with promise and potential π§‘ππ
"Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing,
there is a field. Iβll meet you there.
When the soul lies down in that grass,
the world is too full to talk about.
Ideas, language, even the phrase βeach otherβ
doesnβt make any sense.
The breeze at dawn has secrets to tell you.
Donβt go back to sleep.
You must ask for what you really want.
Donβt go back to sleep.
People are going back and forth across the doorsill
where the two worlds touch.
The door is round and open.
Donβt go back to sleep.β Rumi

Blue skies,, breakfast walk, beach day ahead. Beautiful.
Feeling grateful with family π₯°
Bright and breezy......
Is the grass really greener on the other side?

Here's to the bridge-builders, the hand-holders, the light-bringers, those extraordinary souls wrapped in ordinary lives who quietly weave threads of humanity into an inhumane world. They are the unsung heroes in a world at war with itself. They are the whisperers of hope that peace is possible. Look for them in this present darkness. Light your candle with their flame. And then go. Build bridges. Hold hands. Bring light to a dark and desperate world. Be the hero you are looking for. Peace is possible. It begins with us.

Inspired by charming, soft, container planting in the most gorgeous surroundings.
Fabulous lunch and wonderful family time.
Quiet, quality.
Less is more - unless its planting - then more is definitely the only way!
Returning home with a boot full of plants. Excited to create a new display at home......
Thank you
Feel Good Friday
Wild swimming.
Smooth silky water and sunshine.
A pocket of heaven.......
Mindset Matters π
Mindfulness practices help us to notice our thoughts, in a non judgemental way.
Our brains are tricky and life is bumpy at times.....
Noticing if our thoughts are unhelpful or unkind to ourselves or others, gives us the power and opportunity to change them into helpful or kind ones.
We then feel and act better.
Life feels smoother, challenges are easier.
We're nicer and kinder people to be around π
Banish your inner critic and tell negative Nellie in your head to have a holiday π
Be gentle and kind with yourself on the inside....
It really makes a difference π inside and out π
Simple pleasures
So much we could appreciate in the every day and routine elements of life.
How would things be today, for you, if you saw them with fresh eyes, openness and curiosity?
Your magic is in your spark. The way you speak about a topic with passion, the people that get to feel your love right from the depths of your soul, the lives you touch as you move throughout the world.
The way you make someone feel heard, how you say hello to the barista in the morning, the memories friends hold dear of adventures you've shared. You leave magical marks and pieces of you, everywhere you go.
You ripple, even when you can't see it. There are rooms that light up from your presence, eyes that twinkle, bellies that hurt from laughter. Don't dull the spark that makes you shine. The world needs it to be brighter.

Come to COGS next Wednesday to learn about Long Lands Common and Knaresborough Forest Park, their importance in protecting the natural world, and how you can play your part in a big way with a small contribution.
Loving the sun π but looking forward to some of this! π§
Each small act matters too
Do the things you can do......
Feed the birds, put fresh water out for them to drink,
Plant some flowers, tidy litter,
Enjoy and appreciate the magic and beauty in nature that's near you ππππΏ π³ π¦ πΌ
Heading out into the Washburn Valley today,
Looking forward to leading another nature connection - Mindfulness Wellbeing Walk π³ π³ π³
A beautiful early evening swim to end a wonderful day.
Lots of nature immersion today - dog walk by the river, brief allotment visit, mindful walk and meditation in a local meadow with a friend and then finally a river swim.
Tired and happy π and grateful π Batteries recharged and feeling good πππ
Attitude is key! π
Today's fun project!
A warm reminder π for anyone who needs to hear this today π
A wonderful afternoon at Long Lands Common
4 years on for this fabulous project which secured over 30 acres of land through community share ownership (basically loads of people contribute a small amount). Now extending the project massively to encompass a new vision with an additional 60 acres and the creation of Knaresborough Forest Park on adjacent land.
Truly an inspired, heart warming and motivational project and group.
This will return land that was once part of the Royal Forest of Knaresborough, then farmland, to community ownership and free access.
Rewilding, community food forest, native tree replanting, protection and preservation....
The biodiversity at Longlands has increased dramatically already, year on year changes.
Please be a part of this incredible project by volunteering or contributing......
Help secure a beautiful pocket of land to support nature and for the benefit and enjoyment of future generations.
