Religion or Belief in Britain: new data, new thinking
What are the implications of changes in our religion/belief landscape, especially for the Established Church? Are values becoming more significant than beliefs? If so, what does that mean for humanists?
Jeremy Rodell, Dialogue Officer for Humanists UK, helps us explore these interesting issues.

Hi everyone - following this weeks event - sharing the petition to legalise assisted dying. Please sign and also write to you MP if you can (https://humanists.uk/campaigns/public-ethical-issues/assisted-dying/). It only takes a moment but giving that moment could make all the difference to people who need assisted dying in the future. https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/604383
Petition: Legalise assisted dying for terminally ill, mentally competent adults The Government should bring forward legislation to allow assisted dying for adults who are terminally ill and have mental capacity. It should be permitted subject to strict upfront safeguards, assessed by two doctors independently, and self-administered by the dying person.

Happy International Women's Day! 🎉🎉
Today we're celebrating the life, work, and legacy of a true hero of ours – the chemist and humanist Rosalind Franklin. Each year to celebrate International Women's Day, we hold a special lecture in her name. This year's Rosalind Franklin Lecture is on Thursday.
Marking International Women's Day, the Rosalind Franklin Lecture explores and celebrates the contribution of women towards the promotion and advancement of aspects of humanism in the UK and around the world.
Our lecture this Thursday will be delivered by Dr Maggie Aderin-Pocock – space scientist, science educator, and presenter of the Sky at Night. Tickets are on sale now, the event will be held online, and will be chaired by award-winning journalist Samira Ahmed.
