Pendlay row variation was used in todays back workout.
The Pendlay row, named after coach Glenn Pendlay, is a heavy barbell row in which the bar starts from the floor on each rep. This dead-stop row should be relatively strict, but some momentum from the hips is necessary to move big weights. The bar is then returned to the ground after each rep, allowing more weight to be used because the lower back doesn't have to support the weight for a long period of time. This is a great exercise to increase maximal back strength and explosiveness in the deadlift.
As well as putting in the miles each week on the road bike, Alison continues to work hard in the sessions every week. Moving that extra little bit of weight or pushing for that extra rep in a set.
Todays session was Squats, Bench, Deadlift and some extra back work 💪
Simple and steady Sunday morning Burpee routine today.
45 minute time cap to do 300 1 pump Burpees. (Time- 43:34)
Deadlift PB for .en256 tonight. 140kg for 5 💪.

Progressing nicely by staying consistent with his training and working hard under the barbell every session, he is able to keep adding that extra bit of weight to the bar each week💪
Taking through a 30 minute burpee workout:
20 - 5 pump burpee
20 - 6 count burpee
20 - 8 count bodybuilders
20 - Navy Seals
20 - 1 pump burpee
10 - Spiderman
10 - 5 pump burpee
Total
120 burpees
320 press ups
Carrie was back in for her first session since lockdown on friday. Spent this time going over her form on the Squat, bench and Deadlift making sure she's in a good place to start adding weight to the bar again.
What better way to start the wknd than with a CFT (Combat Fitness TEST). Covering 8 miles in under 2 hours with 62lbs (28.1kg) on my back.
Shoutout to who without ever running/walking with any weight before absolutely smashed it with 30lbs (14kg). 💪
