So David had a pretty epic day yesterday as he delivered a Team Dynamics session to the Nike team in Athens! 🏛️

Hosted at the stunning Barbarossa, (a truly spectacular setting,) David walked the team through the results of their Talent Dynamics overview. By doing this David created an environment of openness and transparency to enhance how the team works together.

David also introduced the guys from Nike to our Team Canvas model, focusing on building a high-performing team by covering the essentials:
1️⃣ Defining the team's purpose
2️⃣ Establishing the team's values
3️⃣ Addressing the team's needs and expectations
4️⃣ Creating clear rules to govern the team

The team will now take this Team Canvas away with them and it will serve as a continuous reference point, reminding Nike of their collective "why" and "how" at every meeting. 🧠

What a phenomenal experience, in a venue that couldn't be more perfect for cultivating team brilliance! ✨

First up, meet Kate Bagnall who joins the team as Head of Strategy. Kate brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in working strategically with leaders of UK SMEs and will be working closely with Patrick Maloney and Nicola Wass on building and executing our client's strategic plans.

Already Kate has brought great energy and insight into this morning's team meeting, asking all the right questions and jumping straight into our weekly review. We can’t wait to see what else she’ll bring to the team as she settles in and gets her feet under the table!

Meet Barney, our new Head of People Engagement 🐾.
He kicked off his first day with boundless energy, contributing enthusiastically to this morning’s team meeting.

However, after an impressive start...Barney did what any seasoned pro would do to maximise performance — he took a strategic power nap. We’re sure he’ll be back at full strength this afternoon, especially when it's time to greet clients at the door! 🐶💤

So with Kate’s strategic mind and Barney’s expert engagement (in between naps), we know the future is looking more exciting than ever here at Lead Talent!

🌞🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️ Taking advantage of the sunshine, Jonathan, Simone, Jen, and Lilly enjoyed a refreshing lunchtime walk right on our office doorstep. It was the perfect way to stretch our legs, soak up some vitamin D, and appreciate the beautiful office surroundings. 🌿

We also took a moment to check in on the progress being made in the incredible walled garden area, courtesy of Living Potential. This space is coming to life and is such a critical and vibrant spot for the local community to use. 🌱🌸

🌞🍽️ Team LT's Summer Social was a great success on Friday evening! We headed over to Bavette in Horsforth and indulged in the most incredible food, courtesy of renowned chef Sandy Jarvis and his husband, sommelier Clément Cousin. It felt like a delightful slice of France right here in Yorkshire! 🇫🇷✨

Though we missed having David Davies with us, the team had a lovely evening kicking back, relaxing, and celebrating all our Q2 successes. 🥂

We didn't let the rain dampen team spirits yesterday as we regrouped for our quarterly review meeting down on the farm. There is a lot of uncertainty in the air at the moment amongst SMEs but it was great to hear about all the positive steps the team has been undertaking with clients to ensure they are fit for the future (whatever that may look like!). Staying agile and responsive to changing market pressures will be critical, especially in the face of this week's general election.

Our meeting even finished on time which meant Jen could step out for a quick (muddy) walk with Lilly in the rain to blow away the cobwebs! C'mon now Sun...show yourself. It is July after all!

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved Louis. 💔

Many of you will have had the pleasure of Louis's company when you visited the Lead Talent offices and will know what a truly special soul he was. A true maverick. Loving and adventurous with a boundless enthusiasm for life.

Very much a part of the Lead Talent family, his passing will leave a huge hole in all our hearts. Most especially Patrick and Jon's.

Rest in peace now sweet boy. We will miss you dearly.

🌞 When life throws a curveball, Key Fund sure knows how to pivot and make the most of it! ☀️

Some of you may or may not know that our MD Patrick Maloney is a Non Exec Director and Chair of the Organisational Development Committee at Key Fund Investments. He's held this voluntary role for five years now.

Last week the Key Fund Board Meeting faced a last-minute venue change due to a double booking, but did they let that stop them? Not a chance!

Instead, the team embraced the unexpected and took the meeting into the great outdoors. 🌳

With the sun shining down, they turned adversity into opportunity and kept productivity levels high. 💼💪

It was a great reminder that when plans go awry, don't give up—just pivot!
