Combining the heritage of two cultures, a Pachacuti Panama Hat links the creativity of British design with the unique savoir-faire of our Ecuado

Embrace the spirit of the natural world with our new range of Mexican Palm hats. ☀
Starting tomorrow, we will be showcasing each of our new New Mexican palm collection. From chic fedoras to wide brim planters, these beautiful artisan pieces blend earthy elegance with utilitarian function.
These hats are handcrafted by master Mexican hatmakers from sustainably harvested palm leaves.
We are amazed by the skills and patience of these often-overlooked artisans, who laboriously hand-braid these natural fibres, ensuring each weave contributes to these hat’s textural design and strength.
The braids are then hand-toasted with flame, imbuing it with deep, rich, warm hues that evoke the essence of the earth. Following this, the braids are then stitched together to create the hat’s form, offering robust protection from the sun while combining functionality with style.
Hand-braided with bespoke vintage restoration millinery and high grain leather to compliment their toasted tones, these hats are meticulously crafted for those who value depth and quality in their wardrobe, adding a touch of timeless grace to any outdoor ensemble.

Selene, our wide-brimmed ladies’ Panama hat, gracefully merges the interplay of shadow and light with elegance in every fibre. More than just an accessory, Selene is a homage to the heavens, a nod to shady repose from the midday glare to the tranquil allure of summer evenings bathed in moonlight, masterfully captured in the craft of hat-making.
The silhouette of the flat top crown and wide brim makes a modern statement, crafted from midnight black straw twisted into a textural and open weave, promising cool comfort as the sun reigns across the sky and enough of a veil for secrets and an allure of mystery.
Encircling this crown is a lustrous mink ribbon finished in a diamond-shaped bow. At the centre, a bespoke ribbon, handwoven by an indigenous artisan from northern Ecuador, melds black, mink, and metallic shimmering silver into a decorative pattern. This jacquard embodies ancient craftsmanship and contemporary narratives, all the while echoing the sparkle of stardust. It is adorned with a discreet Pachacuti pin, a sign of quality.
The Bay of Biscay, renowned for its ever-changing seas, serves as the inspiration for this Panama hat.
Aptly named, this teardrop trilby captures the essence of the bay’s dynamic nature through its dégradé (gradient) pattern, as the colours alter hue from navy blue into natural straw. We achieve this effect by dip-dyeing the toquilla straw and allowing the colour to soak up into the fibres, giving the striation of changing azure hues.
As the artisan weaves the hat using a brisa technique, the blues disperse, ensuring each hat is uniquely adorned with a scattering of colours. The teardrop crown has a lower profile than the classic fedora, and the mid-length brim provides versatility for everyday wear.
The thin deep navy grosgrain ribbon was chosen not to overwhelm the straw’s pattern. To maintain a contemporary look, we have finished it simply with a striped blue ribbon that echoes the creative and changing nature of the Biscay.
The Camille Panama Hat is imbued with feminine grace and captures a certain “je ne sais quoi,” an effortless chic that transcends trends. Its flat top crown and medium brim give an elegant silhouette that flatters most face shapes and complements a range of summer attire.
We commissioned the patterned black, pink and light blue ribbon, woven on a back-strap loom, from a master Mayan weaver in a remote village of Chiapas, Mexico. Weaving holds deep cultural significance for the women weavers of Chiapas. For them, weaving is not merely a craft; it is an ancient tradition that connects them to their ancestral heritage, community, and identity.
By combining their skills with contemporary design, we add to these women’s economic empowerment and help to maintain a living tradition that weaves together the past, present, and future.

The Horizon is an exclusive, relaxed style that is handmade in the Pachacuti studio. This hand-shaped hat is trimmed with a hand dip-dyed Petersham ribbon of washed-out blues inspired by coastal living.
The natural straw has been skilfully twisted to create a textured and open-weave Panama hat that is durable, flexible, and well-ventilated. The whole effect is relaxed and sophisticated. Finally, all you need to do now is appreciate the cool sea breeze.
We love the beauty of the Solano Panama hat and how it embodies the essence of sunlight, drawing inspiration from the natural and warm hues that characterise the radiance of the sun.
Through an artisanal process of dip-dyeing, this handwoven toquilla straw hat transitions gracefully from its natural-coloured crown to a golden-hued brim, creating an effortless blend that mirrors the myriad transitions of sunlight from dawn to golden hour.
The twisted straw weave and hand-rolled brim showcase the skill and craftsmanship of our artisans. This traditional technique emphasises the bespoke, handmade nature of the Solano, giving it a distinctive aesthetic appeal that softens the profile of the hat and makes it stand out from mass-produced alternatives.
Given its hand-crafted production, the Solano is a limited-edition piece.
Experience the timeless elegance of the Solano sun hat and embrace the essence of summer wherever you go.

The Beausoleil, meaning “beautiful sun,” is a wide-brim Panama hat that epitomises style and functionality for those radiant, sun-drenched days.
Crafted with unique hand-crocheted detailing along the brim and band, this hat showcases undeniable artisanal elegance. Its sophisticated combination of navy and natural straw hues brings a sense of seaside charm, offering unmatched versatility in styling.
The classic Panama shape allows for a seamless transition between casual moments, like lounging by the poolside or dressing up for summer soirées.
Perfect for any summer occasion, the Beausoleil offers elegant protection against the sun’s rays while invoking a sense of beauty and grace under the sunlight. We’ve named this earthy rendition of this Classic Panama Fedora in honour of Henry David Thoreau, an American naturalist, poet, philosopher, and pioneer of modern environmentalism. The materials were carefully chosen for their sustainable and natural qualities.
This hat is crafted from Pachacuti’s Paja Verde straw, the most environmentally friendly material for Panama hats, due to its minimal processing. It begins its life with a muted natural green hue and a fresh straw scent, gradually ageing to develop a charming patina that fades into warm, toasty tones.
This Panama hat, with its emphasis on quality, sustainability, and natural beauty over flashy or synthetic materials, stands as the antithesis to fast fashion. It prioritises enduring value and environmental ethics over temporary trends or conspicuous consumption. Representing not only timeless elegance but also Thoreau’s enduring ethos for simplicity and sustainable living.
