England’s annual 2 mins of sun is here, but PLEASE do not be tempted to sunbathe or expose yourself to UV rays if you are undergoing laser treatment.

“It’s fine, I’ll tan, they won’t know...”

We will! We have had to turn a few clients away lately (which we hate) but laser with an active tan is unsafe.

So, how long shall I avoid the sun for? 🤔

It is important to avoid sun exposure or sun beds for 2 weeks before treatment, and 1 week after treatment. This does mean in between sessions too!

If you do go out in the sun, you must wear SPF 50 and limit your exposure as much as you can.

Post-laser care is crucial for the best results. Here are our top tips for taking care of your skin after a laser hair removal session:

DO’s:
🧴 Apply SPF 50 on the treated area

🪴 Apply aloe vera gel on the treated area

💧 Drink plenty of water.

DONT’s:
🛁 Don’t use heat treatments such as spas, steam rooms and saunas for at least 7 days.

🏃 Don’t exercise for at least 48 hours.

☀️ Don’t expose skin to UV light (sunlight or sunbeds) or self-tan for at least 2 weeks after treatment.

After your treatment, your skin will be sensitive and will need time to heal. Excessive exposure to UV rays risks damage to your skin. It is highly advisable to avoid sunbathing and tanning beds 2 weeks before your session and 1 week after.

As we get busier than ever, we have decided to stop online bookings for a short period of time until we restructure things. Consultations and patch tests can still be booked online but all other appointments will be booked in clinic 💌

💸 PAY AS YOU GO:
We are no longer accepting up front costs for treatments. You will pay a deposit via our online booking system to secure your appointment. On the day, the remainder is to be paid via cash or card.

👻 MISSED AND DELAYED APPOINTMENTS:
If you miss or delay your appointments, this may affect your results. Please be sure to book them in a timely manner! You can book in up to three months in advance.

Cancellations are free up to 24 hours before your appointment. If you cancel your appointment after this time frame, you’ll lose your deposit.

After your laser treatment, it is essential to minimise irritation by keeping your skin cool ❄️

It is suggested that:
🏃‍♀️ You do not exercise for 24 hours after treatment.
🌱 ⁠Apply cold aloe vera to the area for the next 48 hours.
🛁 Avoid hot baths & showers for the next 48 hours (this includes saunas & steam rooms!)
👖 ⁠Avoid tight clothing to the area for the next 48 hours.
☀️⁠ Avoid direct sun exposure for the next 10 days - make sure to buy at least an SPF 30!
