As you can see, this tattoo is badly scarred so I started by just working on the ink, but I'll also add in fractional laser treatment to reduce the scar tissue. With a medical grade laser, you get some scar reduction from regular application of energy, but combined with the fractional treatment it really helps to reduce scar tissue and promote collagen regeneration.

To get effective fading/removal of blue ink requires Ruby 694nm or Alexandrite 755nm wavelengths. Most laser clinics won't have these available as they're only found on specialist medical grade devices.
My Quanta Q-PlusC laser has 3 wavelengths so can effectively fade all treatable colours. Check your chosen clinic has a suitable laser for your tattoo.

This client had a couple of tattoos, one of which had previous treatment from another clinic, but there was some green ink remaining. The green has been particularly stubborn, but we are making slow progress. I believe it would have been easier to treat if I had treated it from the start.

Pigmentation removal is best done during autumn and winter as it's important to avoid sun exposure before and after laser treatment. I therefore may recommend you wait until later in the year for treatment. If you don't have a tan and can avoid sun exposure on the area for a few months, then it may be safe if you follow the recommended aftercare.
