NHS and Care Volunteer Responders is a flexible volunteer programme supporting adult social care and the NHS.
The scheme is built on a digital platform and links an available pool of volunteers to local love tasks via GoodSam app.
The volunteer support on offer includes
•Check in and Chat
Short-term telephone support for people who need a chat and some encouragement to improve their wellbeing.
•Check in and Chat Plus
Regular telephone calls for more vulnerable people

Today is World Mental Health Day.

Our mental health is an invisible force that controls our thoughts, feelings, emotions and the way we react or respond to situations. The basics of sound mental health are easy to follow but not prioritised by many. Stress and anxiety have emerged as one of the biggest stressors in modern times.

Celebrating Carers Week

This is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges paid and unpaid carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK. It also helps people who don't think of themselves as having caring responsibilities to identify as carers and access much-needed support.
