It was so wonderful to gather for our agape bring and share meal yesterday, thank you to Becca and Leanne from Merseyside Police for coming along to talk to us about the work of Merseyside Police LGBTQ+ network, transgender community advisory group and hate crime reporting.
Can you believe it’s the end of august already? We've had an absolutely fabulous month, here's a few of the things we've been up to:
On the 4th we had our Bring and Share meal, where prayed for our city following violence

The Team Parish of St Luke in the city, which Open Table Liverpool is a ministry of, announced that we're getting a new rector!
Some of us went to Greenbelt and had an absolutely fabulous time, thanks to out at greenbelt for all their fabulous LGBTQIA+ events (especially the glitter ball) and hearing Flamy Grant perform was a real highlight for us.

Asylum Link Merseyside is an extraordinary charity who does so much to support Asylum Seekers in Liverpool and is based not far from St Bride's. Many amongst us at Open Table Liverpool have received their support and been volunteers. Due to recent far-right threats Asylum Link have had to close their doors this week to keep people safe. Asylum Link have shared the following as ways you can help them continue their vital work. Take a look and see if you might be able to offer some help in one of these areas.

Yesterday evening, we finished pride weekend with a service with Liverpool Cathedral. Thank you to Lilly, for leading the service, to Lu for their wonderful reflection, and to everyone who made it a truly fabulous service.
Did you spot us at Pride in Liverpool on Saturday? We had an absolutely fabulous time with Christians at Pride, marching proudly and visibly with our LGBTQ+ community.
We’ve got our pride stall set up in the black glass building by the museum of Liverpool, do pop down and say hi if you’re about!
Really looking forward to Pride tomorrow. The forecast isn’t looking like the weather will be quite as good as last year so don’t forget your umbrellas!
