Hello to followers old and new. We’ve noticed a few new faces this week so here’s a little bit about us. We’re Exale, a small (but mighty) independent brewery l and taproom based on the Blackhorse Beer Mile in Walthamstow.

Here’s some info about us and our residents Black Cactus Coffee Smoke

We brew all our beer on site a few meters away from the taps it’s poured out of. We’re Open Thurs-Sun. (Our hours are in our bio) Till 2am Fri & Sat with our wonderful DJs spinning tunes from 9pm, we often have live music and events (events calendar in bio) we also show major sports tournaments. We have a beer garden which includes a tree house and a stunning mural, the garden is also where you’ll find the Black Cactus Smoker 🔥 this is the beast where they smoke their cuts for hours and hours to give beautiful pink smoke to burgers, brisket, pork and more.

There menu comes in 3 parts

🍔Burgers Thursday and Friday (these are smoked fatty pattys)
🍖Smokehouse Saturday is BBQ tray day + buns/sides
🥐Sundays is Buns, croissants and stuff

DISCLAIMER: Smoked chicken has a slight pink tinge when smoked this is due to smoking at a low temperature. A protein found in the muscle and marrow, myoglobin is not fully broken down. Myoglobin has a purple color, which combines with gasses produced by smoking and colors the meat pink, this will also create a pink smoke ring. Every chicken is cooked to 70c and is probed regularly, so don't fear if you see some pink meat in the chicken .
