I specialise in tailored mind-body movement to combat the negative effects of the modern workplace.
I moved from Melbourne to London last month and made the decision to teach Pilates as a full-time gig. Naturally, v excited but slightly overwhelmed by the challenge in a brand new city I did a lot of walking around and spent the last four weeks just exploring London. I’ve never lived here before, so I’m loving this ‘research’ phase, checking out Pilates and dance studios, pubs, cafes and generally being real nosey (send me all your recs 🙏🏽).
In the last two weeks, I’ve met so many inspiring studio owners, Pilates teachers and new clients. BUT! This week has been especially cool as I taught at Total Chi Yoga & Pilates on Baker Street, Marylebone. And I’ll be teaching regularly at Reform Physiotherapy and Pilates Studio. Looking forward to meeting a bunch of new faces and getting back into the studio permanently!
What *actually* is Pilates? 🌀

Well, it depends who you ask. But before it was a form of exercise, Pilates was a person.
It was created by a guy called Joseph Pilates, an anatomist and a mechanical genius who became popular among circus performers, gymnasts, and dancers for rehabilitation, improving performance and technique. Fast-forward to today, Pilates has boomed and the philosophy still holds true - creating optimal strength by exercising the entire body in concert, as opposed to spot training individual muscles and fine-tuning neuromuscular patterns.

It's cool to see how the benefits of Pilates are being picked up by the community today - it’s no longer just a dancey/sporty thing! There’s so many reasons why people choose to try Pilates - strength training, rehabilitation, mental health, body awareness or just cos it feels good.

Whatever your reason or definition I love hearing why and enjoy helping people explore the benefits of Pilates in a way that is empowering, supportive and fun.
